Water fun

Jay Brasuel's water aerobics class meets at the Hagta Pool on Tuesdays through Fridays 8:30-9:30 a.m. for a fee of $3. The only equipment needed is a bathing suit, or whatever you feel more comfortable wearing in the water. For those who can't make the morning classes, she offers evening classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. The fee is $3, plus a charge of $1 for the use of pool during regular pool hours. For more information you can call the Hagta Pool at 472-8718.

ACTIVITIES

Getting into an exercise regimen doesn't necessarily mean you have to sign up for a gym membership or pay for a class, here are some activities you can do on your own time without spending a dime.

l Get your garden or yard in shape, and you'll shape up, too.

l Make your own weights from household items -- plastic milk jugs filled with sand or water, bags of rice, soup cans or bottles of water.

l Rather than driving, walk when doing errands.

l Join in a coastal cleanup, or do one of your own with family and friends

l Put your dancing shoes on and cha-cha the night away at the Chamorro Village's main pavilion on Wednesdays during the night market
