CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

With the NBA playoffs only a few short weeks away, fans have a new reason to celebrate: PETA's ranking of the Top Five Vegetarian-Friendly NBA Arenas. And as NBA legend John Salley announces in a new video posted today on PETA's website, Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, snagged fifth-place honors this year with its scrumptious veggie burger and Thai tofu stir-fry. Vegan hot dogs and roasted garlic hummus with pretzel chips are also up for grabs at the arena's concession stands.

"Animal-friendly Cavaliers fans are always in for a treat with the plant-based spread readily available at Quicken Loans Arena," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "As more NBA stadiums than ever get on the ball with delicious vegan snacks, PETA is calling on others to join the cruelty-free charge."

PETAwhose motto reads, in part, that "animals are not ours to eat"awarded the top spot to American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and a summer vegetable and tofu flatbread. The second spot in its top five went to Chesapeake Energy Arena, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the vegetarian portobello mushroom burger. The Toronto Raptors' Air Canada Centre nabbed third place, boasting loaded vegetable subs and vegan sushi, while the Portland Trail Blazers' Moda Center took home fourth for its to-die-for vegan farro kale pesto salads.

Each winner will receive a framed certificate.
