Tapping into a lacuna in the towns gastronomic scene, Hotel Accord has opened doors to its concept vegetarian restaurant, Legumes.

After researching what is needed in Puducherry, we found that a high-end vegetarian restaurant was missing here. Around 40 per cent of Puducherry residents are vegetarian, we found. Speaking to our customers and observing what kind of food was ordered for corporate lunches, we found that a good number of them wanted pure vegetarian cuisine, says Ravindra Raju, General Manager, Hotel Accord.

The rooftop restaurant is said to have an exclusive vegetarian kitchen serving Indian including South Indian cuisine, Continental and Chinese fare. It can seat around 65 guests inside and 20 in its al fresco dining area.

The buffet, lunch and dinner, which is served goes through 20 cyclic menus, says CEO Venkatesh Bhatt.
