There are two ways to look at history. One way is to see it as a series of random occurrences. The other way is to view history through the lens of Kairos.

Why has Pope Francis been so willing to draw on the thoughts and words of a man whose radical ideas and actions so comprehensively contradict Catholic teaching?

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of King Herod, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage. (Matthew 2:1-2)

I believe in original sin, but theres nothing original about sin. Its deadly but dull.
