Former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley has shared a throwback photo of the time she was a size 22.

Cath, who played Eva Price in Corrie, weighed 15 stone when she was 18-years-old.

She previously admitted that she kept the now-famous photo of herself at her heaviest on her phone to remind her of her transformation over the years.

The 36-year-old actress from Walkden has dug the snap out again as motivation before heading to the gym.

She juxtaposed the throwback snap with one of herself wearing a bikini on holiday and shared them on Instagram.

"Gym bound .... find your motivation. Stick to it," she told her followers.

When pregnant with her four-year-old son Alfie Catherine continued weight training until she was seven months gone and went back to the gym four weeks after giving birth.

She previously tackled the issue of dieting on the ITV current affairs programme Tonight and investigated the pressure to have a perfect body while separating dieting facts from the myths.

Catherine, who changed her lifestyle and lost weight before landing the role of Eva in 2011, said: Ive wanted to do something for ages.

Being in the public eye it comes with responsibility but health and fitness is something that I am passionate about and something I felt I needed to do.

Since becoming a mum it has become more important to me and I feel I know my stuff.

She worked with Professor Tim Spector, author of The Diet Myth, from Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London on the documentary.

She added: Ive never had a thigh gap but I can deadlift more than some men can.
