Who: Candice Gallmeyer, 21, joined LogoUp, from BizCard Xpress in Lauderhill, as a graphic designer. She works on email and direct mail marketing campaigns and logo pre-production proofs, for the company, which recently ranked #80 on the INC500 list of the fastest growing private companies in America.

Why my job is important: I'm part of a team that through best practices provides excellent customer service experiences. I process orders and communicate with customers. Adding my graphic design skills helps assure clients their logos will appear proportionate and on the right spot on garments and accessories like hats or bags.

Resume

Experience:Freelance graphic design; production director for an online and print magazine.

Education: Associates in graphic design, Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale

Community: Broward Waterway Cleanup; design work for a local branch of Alcoholics Anonymous

On the job

Top goal: To utilize my knowledge of branding to help build our corporate identity

Professional challenge: There's always someone willing to "do it for less." It's a huge relief to be working for a company with a constant flow of business that still allows me to express my own creativity.

Industry challenge: In the fast-paced world of eCommerce arises the customer's desire to receive their order almost instantaneously, especially considering many have their own deadlines to meet. In turn, we work to improve productivity and assure the customer that they will receive their orders on time such as implementing faster shipping methods to help cut production time.
