I believe that supporting my community means welcoming hard work, connecting to good people, and living & loving passionately. I seek conviction rock solid belief that come hell or high water, were not only going to pull through but also grow. I believe that there is something greater that wants the very best for all of us and I have found that everything It wants me to do is at least two steps outside of my comfort zone.

Willingness is everything. Its not about what you want. Its about how bad you want it and what youre willing to do to get it. It takes courage to have a dream and pursue it. It takes wisdom attained from painful experience to recognize that youll never truly be in control of how your dreams come to fruition.

It starts with you but thats just the beginning. Theres no such thing as a self made man.Any successful person will tell you that its who you surround yourself with. Any spiritual person will tell you that if your Higher Powers not on board with the plan, its not going to work. The hard part is how to know whether were moving in the direction that the Universe would have us go.

Plinko

I worked with a woman years ago who explained her spiritual beliefs through a game on The Price Is Right. In the game, one drops a disc down a long board of twists and turns and the discs drop into a winning slot. She explained to me that her job was to gather the disks and put them in motion. She had to be willing to follow them wherever they went because trying to direct them was like herding cats and she found that every time she let go, things fell into place. There is no clearer sign that were moving in the right direction then when things simply work themselves out.

Secure in my Insecurity

The God of my understanding gives me every form of security except financial. I have found that the less I pay attention to my bank balance the more sanity I retain. I believe in hard work but the joy of being self employed is that this doesnt always manifest as a paycheck. Somehow there is always enough. Sometimes we borrow it and sometimes its a windfall. I cant explain it; theres just always enough.

Go with the Flow

I have repeatedly found that good things will fall into my lap if I let them. Years ago I had a college student show up at an agency I was working for. With unbridled enthusiasm he said, Im ready to go! I smiled and said, Thats great. I just need to know who the hell you are and where the hell were going. Hed been promised an internship with me and no one had bothered to tell me. The first lesson of his internship was that things dont go as planned but if youre open to it they can turn out better than planned.

Accept, then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it. Make it your friend and ally, not your enemy. This will miraculously transform your whole life. ~Eckhart Tolle
