This place is usually packed, which means the fish is probably pretty fresh. However, the quality of the certain types of fish can be questionable. For instance, I'm not supposed to be able to find stringiness in pieces of chutoro (medium fatty tuna) or any other pieces of fish. Sashimi should never be mushy either. Maybe it was just bad luck, which I hope it was.

Service can also be an issue sometimes. Yes, I know being a waitress isn't easy, but rudeness is not part of the job description. I also hate when the servers assume that I'm Chinese.

Their specialty rolls are good though, especially the three stooges. The cooked food is pretty generic and reasonable for those that are new to Japanese cuisine.

Be prepared to wait if you're coming here on a weekend, even if you have a reservation.

*The mixed review should explain the three stars. Despite my complaints, the last time I was there probably won't be the last time I'll ever be there. Over all, I'd say try this restaurant if you've never been.
