FOXBOROUGH There's something very zen about Bill Belichick. He is not a man of the past or future. He is a man of the present.

Asked about the team's troubles, the Patriots head coach offered little to nothing in the way of insight, instead focusing on the task at hand.

Belichick uttered the phrases "we're on to Cincinnati" and "we're getting ready for Cincinnati" no fewer than five times during his press conference at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday.

This would typically be the day where the Patriots turn the page for good on their previous game and turn their attention entirely to the upcoming opponent, but the timeframe is compressed this week with a six-day turnaround between the Patriots' two primetime games on Monday night and Sunday night.

A press conference is directed at three groups: your players, your owner, and your fans. It seems Belichick's message to those three groups was that the team will not linger on the lumps it took in the 41-14 bloodbath against the Kansas City Chiefs.
