USTA Player Development is a full-time, comprehensive training program that helps the nation's top junior tennis players reach the top of their game.  The program aims to develop world-class players through a defined training structure and competitive pathway.

The K12 International Academy, a fully accredited online private school serving students in kindergarten through high school worldwide, allows students to learn on their own schedule, at their own pace, and in a setting best suited for them. Combining excellent teachers with high quality curriculum and web-based courses developed by K12, the school designs individualized learning programs to meet the unique needs of students who require flexible education options.

The new partnership enables USTA Player Development junior student-athletes to enroll in the K12 International Academy for regularly scheduled school times while on-site at the USTA Player Development National Training Center, as well as having the option to take their education on the road at tournaments.

"Students enrolled in the USTA Player Development Program are expected to maintain a high level of excellence both on and off the courts," said Patrick McEnroe, General Manager of USTA Player Development. "We recognize that many of our young student-athletes need an alternative to the traditional school in order to meet the rigorous demands of their training schedule. Miriam Rube, K12 International Academy Principal, said, "K12 International Academy is proud to play a role in the pursuit of a quality education for these tremendously talented young athletes.   Learning with K12 offers students the opportunity to expand their horizons through their skills and their study."
