Meditation:Jennifer Morninstar will lead attendees in guided meditation at 7 p.m. Nov. 17. Bring a mat or cushion to sit on. Registration required.

Cooking: Chef Michael Niksic will present a holiday feastival of savory dishes assembled with simple, straight forward food prep methods that produce excellent results at 7 p.m. Nov. 20. Ample portion sizes will be served. The program will include recipes distributed, live preparation, festive music and atmosphere, in depth instructions along with patron questions and answers on any topic.Registration required.

Sale:Friends of the Library will hold its Fall Used Book Sale from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 16. All books will be $5 a bag Nov. 16.All proceeds support library programs andevents.

Fun with math:Make math the cool thing to do and have over-the-top fun with friends at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 17. For ages 5-7 and registrationrequested.

Health resources:Learn about the health resources and websites available through the librarys onlinedatabases at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17. Bring your laptop,tablet or handheld device and your valid library card. Registration required.

Writers group:Connect with other writers at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

Poetry Slam: Teens can enjoy this informational haiku and share a poem at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 19.Acoustic guitars welcome and snacks provided.

Book group: A Drop of the Hard Stuff: A Matthew Scudder Novel by Lawrence Block will be discussed at 7 p.m. Nov. 20. Registration requested.
