31-05-2012 20:34 The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) developed the MMA Conditioning Specialist (MMACS) credential to educate health and fitness professionals how to design safe, effective, and innovative MMA-inspired conditioning programs. The MMA Conditioning Specialist credential will prepare health and fitness professionals to employ innovative training and conditioning strategies used within mixed martial arts communities to create a nontraditional fitness experience geared toward improving the fitness levels, retention, and experience of every participant regardless of goal or ability.
