Cheer Excercise for Better Stunts, Jumps and Tumbling - The Goblet Squat
Cheer Exercise is the subject we are bringing you today from ultimatecheerworkout.com and on this video http we are going to show you a cheer workout that is going to increase your power in stunting, jumping and tumbling. This exercise is called the Goblet Squat and NO Cheer Workout Program should be without it. This exercise is going to be very familiar for the bases out there, but don #39;t let the movement fool you it will help in all areas for cheerleading. Doing this exercise will increase the power in your legs and core leading to stronger stunts, jumping and tumbling. Ideally you will have a dumbbell to complete this workout but you could use your bodyweight and one of your own shoes to give the correct feel while performing the exercise. Now that you have all you need let #39;s get into it! Step by Step: Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart and your toes straight forward. Hold each side of the dumbbell (or shoe) with your arms in a candle stick position and have your palms facing each other, just as you would hold a flyers foot for all my bases out there. Keeping your core tight and chest up (the weight will pull you over if you don #39;t), act like you are sitting back in a chair until your knees get to 90 degrees. Pause for a moment at the bottom and then return to your beginning position under control. Keep your eyes focused slightly above straight forward and remember to breathe properly.
