Ujjain: A clothes cleaning unit Nirmal has been set up at the Sewadham ashram by the Samast Mahajan Trust, Mumbai. The unit was inaugurated by Padmabhushan Dr Bindeshwar Pathak at an event held on Wednesday.

Bindeshwar Pathak is the founder of Sulabh International organisation which promotes human rights and environmental sanitation in India. He was conferred the Sewadham Rashtra Vibhuti award for his contribution towards society at the event. He was conferred the honour in the presence of zilla panchayat president Mahesh Parmar, Bharat Porwal, RS Hada, Sushila Nagar and Abel Hernandez.

In his welcome speech, Sudhilbhai Goel said Nirmal would ensure that all inmates of this ashram wore clean and hygienic clothes. Pathak also promised monetary aid to the ashram. All the guests attending the function were felicitated.
