High-end yoga clothier Lululemon Athletica will open a store this fall at the Southcenter mall, its closest location yet to Pierce County shoppers.

Known mostly for its almost-$100 yoga pants, Lululemon sells a wide variety of activewear for men and women. It now has five stores in Washington: two in Seattle, and one each in Bellevue, Lynnwood and Burlington.

The sixth location, at Westfield Southcenter mall, will open in November across from Nordstrom, according to a mall news release.

The company has been struggling for some time, with problems that include a recall of its signature yoga pants for too-sheer fabric, and comments by its controversial founder, Chip Wilson, that some womens bodies just dont actually work for the pants, anyway. Wilson stepped down at CEO following the uproar from that remark, but recently has been making moves that look like he wants to take control of the company again.
