2012 Season with The Bleacher Creatures and Bald Vinny in "The 203" at Yankee Stadium
After the Yankees 2011 season ended Vinny Milano aka Bald Vinny was not sure if he would return for another season as the leader of the Bleacher Creatures. I had been to many Yankee games since my retirement in 2008 from the tennis world. But I had never sat in 203 to do Roll Call. My kids had never done Roll Call. So many people wanted Vinny to remain at Yankee Stadium. In 2010 Freddy Sez who was an Icon to Yankee fans passed away. Vinny was the remaining link to Yankee fan traditions. My son had used the spoon to bang Freddy #39;s pan for good luck during the 2009 World Series run. During Yankee Fantasy Camp in January 2012 I had Yankee Legend Jeff Nelson as my coach. We both had a connection to Cystic Fibrosis charity involvement and together with Vinny planned the Bleacher Creature/Jeff Nelson Fantasy Experience which coincidentally took place during Hope Week. YESNetwork.Com reporter Jon Lane gave us 2 write ups and came out to do Roll Call. During the 2012 season a parade of celebrities from the sports, entertainment and Supreme Court came out to 203 to do Roll Call with the Creatures and Bald Vinny. A title in 2012 would have been the icing on the cake but looking forward to seeing the Yankees take that next step in 2013. See you then island of weiland Some of the images belong to me.
