Zen Studios is releasing a new table based on the popular Star Wars Rebels TV series. Join Jeff Marchiafava, Reiner, and me as we play a few rounds and talk Star Wars.

As JeffM points out, Zen looked to the series' younger audience when designing this table. Players have adequate time to read through each mode's goals before diving in, and most shots don't require surgical precision. That's not to say it's a gimme, though, as you can see in our games. If you like tables such as Ms. Splosion Man, which have a nice sense of flow, you might want to check this one out even if you're not necessarily into Star Wars.

JeffM and I haven't seen Rebels yet, so we enlisted Reiner's help to walk us through the cast of characters and explain what the heck is going on. It's not like you need to be a loremaster to appreciate something like a pinball table, but knowing a bit of background does help. He also did a great job refreshing my memory for things that happened in the series' original trilogy. How embarrassing!

The table is coming out sometime this year, but I'd put my money on sooner rather than later. Also, as a side note, I nearly doubled JeffM's score the instant we stopped recording. Oh well.

Star Wars Rebels is getting its own Zen Pinball 2 and Star Wars Pinball table on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita the weekend of April 28th.

Based on the Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Pinball: Star Wars Rebels will include seven missions set during a time period in the Star Wars canon unexplored in the films, according to Zen Studios.

Missions will feature animated TIE fighters, starships like the Ghost, and more.

You'll be able to buy the Star Wars Rebels pinball table as DLC for Zen Pinball 2 or as part of the standalone Star Wars Pinball on April 28th in the US and April 29th in Europe.

Consumer and business ISP Zen Internet appears to have officially expanded into offering a full wholesale solution and selling direct to other providers, which goes well beyond the limited partner options that theyve been offering for quite some time now.

The Rochdale based provider has spent the past few years building up their fully resilient 10GB Core network, which now has over 207 Points of Presence (PoPs) delivering services to more than 500 Telephone Exchanges across the United Kingdom.

Initially Zen used its new infrastructure to launch a range of more flexible and affordable Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC), Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) and other services to their customers and resellers. But the ISP now has an ambition to take on some of the bigger players (e.g. TalkTalk Wholesale, Vodafone, BTWholesale etc.) and as such theyve decided to go one better by offering a full wholesale solution.

Following on from the recent build out of our network to nearly 500 local telephone exchanges, we are creating an Industry leading Wholesale platform, offering highly competitve Layer 2 DSL (Copper and Fibre, On and Off-Net) and EAD connectivity to UK ISPs and CPs.

We offer multiple Interconnect locations in the North and South of the UK https://www.zen.co.uk/about-us/our-network and provide access to a highly skilled, dedicated team to assist with migration planning and implementation.

Officially speaking theres not a lot of detail to be found about this yet, instead its only just slipping out through the cracks. But apparently Zen is already supplying at least one reasonably well known ISP and obviously theyll be looking to add a few more. Zen has a better reputation than many of the key wholesale suppliers in this game and so that may work to their advantage.

Incidentally Zen has today announced the securing of two new regulatory accreditations, the Cyber Essentials Plus certification and IASME Gold standard accreditation.
