From being busy at work to running back to back errands, forgetting to drink water everyday is more common than you'd think. In fact, there's an entire Twitter account, with nearly 600K followers, literally dedicated to reminding peopleto drink water.

After all, hydration is crucialfor so many different aspects of our lives. It keeps your body temperature regulated, helps yourskinmaintain moisture and removes waste from your system, amongst many other benefits. The standard daily water intake is the eight-by-8 rule: Eight 8-ounce glasses which is equivalenttohalf a gallon.

With over 6,000 reviews and a 4.6 star rating on Amazon, BuildLife's gallon water bottle has gone totally viral. Not only does it come in 27 different colors, but the motivational bottle is a constant reminder to drink water, tracking your intake from 7:00am to 9:00pm. With phrases like "Keep Drinking," and "No Excuses," it's no wonder why thousands of people are obsessed with it.

One Amazon shopper wrote, "The best water bottle Ive ever owned...I cannot day enough about this product, would give it 10 stars if I could. It encourages me to drink plenty of water daily and because I dont have a water filtration system at home, Im going to bring this bottle to the gym and fill up a gallon to keep me hydrated on clean, filtered water throughout the day."

Another revealed she's already ordered her fourth one! "We have just ordered our 4th one! It is so convenient! My husband and I used to carry around so many bottles of water when we would go out and now we have 3: 1 for my husband, 1 for our kids, and 1 for me. The fourth one we ordered was for a friend who liked it. It is very durable."

Other Amazon shoppers have also joked that the water bottle is a total conversation starter: "This water bottle stops people in their tracks. If you are looking for a tool to increase real life social interactions, this is it," while another wrote, "This is probably the friendliest water bottle I have owned."

Freelancers` motivations explored in new report – Workplace Insight

Posted: at 3:49 pm

Freelancers value the freedom and flexibility of being their own boss but their happiness is most closely correlated with how much money they earn, a survey of 7,000 freelancers has claimed. According to the report from Payoneer (registration required), the worldwide average hourly rate charged by freelancers is $21, up from $19 two years ago. This is significantly higher than the average salary in many of the 150 countries surveyed. Those who work exclusively in freelancing earn a higher rate and are more satisfied with their lifestyle than those who split their time working for a company.

The freelance workforce is overall very young, the survey suggests, with nearly 70 percent of those surveyed aged under 35, and 21 percent aged under 25. This youth movement is even more pronounced in Asia where 82 percent of respondents were under 35, compared to North America where the number was closer to 47 percent.

Across the board, workers at the beginning and end of their careers are most likely to be exclusively freelancing, the report says. However, the promise of a stable income and the sense of security that comes with it seems to drive workers to seek a company job while raising a family. Education does not necessarily correlate with high earnings for freelancers, as those respondents with bachelors degrees did not demand higher fees than those without. This may indicate that client reviews, references and a rich portfolio are as valuable as traditional educational achievements.

Womens participation in the freelance workforce has been gaining momentum and the average wage for women is way ahead of the wider workforce.

Progress towards wage equality

One of the more optimistic findings from the report is that womens participation in the freelance workforce has been gaining momentum and the average wage for women is way ahead of the wider workforce. Female freelancers earn on average 84 percent of mens earnings across all fields and, while there is room for improvement, the gap is much smaller than the 64 percent average for all workers reported by the World Economic Forum. However, there are industry-specific nuances and fields exist where the gender gap remains pronounced, including finance and project management. That said, women earn more than men in marketing and web and graphic design.

Freelancing is booming around the world, driven by the growing global generational shifts, said Eyal Moldovan, General Manager, Payoneer. Millennials and Gen Z crave independence and broad, new opportunities with a whopping 54 percent in developed countries starting or planning to start their own businesses. Moreover, 64 percent of those that currently have full-time jobs welcome the chance to earn more and broaden their skillsets. Meanwhile, older generations find freelancing a way to stay relevant and to keep their skills sharp in a world where technology trends and tools change in the blink of an eye. Overall, both freelancers and companies benefit, and what once seemed a novel pursuit has redefined the very nature of the workforce.

Catherine Tyldesley shares ‘motivational’ photo of the time she was a size 22 – Manchester Evening News

Posted: at 3:48 pm

Former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley has shared a throwback photo of the time she was a size 22.

Cath, who played Eva Price in Corrie, weighed 15 stone when she was 18-years-old.

She previously admitted that she kept the now-famous photo of herself at her heaviest on her phone to remind her of her transformation over the years.

The 36-year-old actress from Walkden has dug the snap out again as motivation before heading to the gym.

She juxtaposed the throwback snap with one of herself wearing a bikini on holiday and shared them on Instagram.

"Gym bound .... find your motivation. Stick to it," she told her followers.

When pregnant with her four-year-old son Alfie Catherine continued weight training until she was seven months gone and went back to the gym four weeks after giving birth.

She previously tackled the issue of dieting on the ITV current affairs programme Tonight and investigated the pressure to have a perfect body while separating dieting facts from the myths.

Catherine, who changed her lifestyle and lost weight before landing the role of Eva in 2011, said: Ive wanted to do something for ages.

Being in the public eye it comes with responsibility but health and fitness is something that I am passionate about and something I felt I needed to do.

Since becoming a mum it has become more important to me and I feel I know my stuff.

She worked with Professor Tim Spector, author of The Diet Myth, from Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London on the documentary.

She added: Ive never had a thigh gap but I can deadlift more than some men can.

Do This One Thing And You Will Be Living A Happy Retirement – Forbes

Posted: February 10, 2020 at 9:52 pm

The most important factor to living a happy retirement starts with the letter M.

And its not Money.

You shouldnt ignore money. Its important. It may be the one thing that preserves the living part of living a happy retirement.

Regardless of circumstances, your future health is the biggest unknown factor that may impact retirement, says Chris Bach, Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor at RMB Capital in Minneapolis. Make a conservative (generous) estimate of what health care costs you may incur and earmark those fundsyou will sleep better at night.

While money helps pay for important health maintenance matters, the idea of the unpredictability of your future health provides you a clue as to what that most important M word is.

To truly be happy, you cant let the everyday ups and downs of life bother you. Youve got to expect the unexpected. And then brush it off.

The secret to achieving this is in the magical M word: Mind.

Your state of mind will often spell the difference between happiness and displeasure, between health and burden, and between ease and anxiety.

Attitude and expectations are critical in ensuring a comfortable retirement, says John Bush, of Garrett Investment Advisors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Knowing that there will be bumps in the road, and planning accordingly, is essential.

Part and parcel of this positive mental attitude is activity. An idle mind, as they say, can be a dangerous thingto your retirement!

In the mind of T. Eric Reich, President of Reich Asset Management, LLC in Marmora, New Jersey, the most critical part to a happy retirement isnt financial, its what are you going to do with your time. He says, You need to have a plan for the 40+ hrs. a week youre no longer working. Without a plan for your time, many retirees feel a sense of loss and a lack of fulfillment in retirement.

Your car might be able to quickly go from zero to 60 and back to zero again, but youll find it a challenge to do the same when it comes to retirement. If your job was mentally challenging or demanding in many ways you cannot go from running full speed to sitting on a couch doing nothing, says Peter J. Credon CEO at Crystal Brook Advisors in New York City. The daily grind may stop, but most people need to feel useful and productive.

If you want to be living a happy retirement, start thinking about what youre going to do. Identify activities you can pursue in retirement that keep you challenged and meaningfully engaged, says Brendan Willmann of Granada Wealth Management, in Asheville, North Carolina.

You need to transition to something that keeps you using your mind and keeps your body moving, says Credon. Your mind is no different than any other muscle in your body. Like your muscles, your mind needs exercise to stay sharp, fit and productive. Use it or lose it. Hobbies, volunteering, doing something you never had time to do, consulting and helping people or businesses with your expertise, taking classes to learn new skills. Social interaction is also an important component.

You get the idea. It might sound like work, but thats precisely the idea. Its a work-out routine for your brain.

But its more than merely exercise. Its a purpose.

Having a purpose in retirement is critical because it makes your life more meaningful, says Patti Black, a partner at Bridgeworth, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Too many people retire to get away from something and have not thought about what they are going to do when they are no longer working. Playing golf is not a purpose! Spend time thinking about who you are and what are you going to be doing now that youre not working.

You neednt focus on this psychological aspect of the benefits of mental activity. You need to only know that the satisfaction of accomplishing something, even if its small, gives you an inner satisfaction that makes life more pleasing.

And that makes youand your retirementhappy.

So you should heed the advice of Peter Credon when he says, A critical behavior to an enjoyable retirement is retiring to something.

Next Big Thing: How to spot the Next Big Thing – The Athletic

Posted: at 9:52 pm

Take a look at the list of junior Wimbledon champions and you will quickly see a pattern emerging. For every future Grand Slam winner like Roger Federer or Caroline Wozniacki, there are numerous names that not even a tennis aficionado would recognise.

All the players on the list were among the very best juniors in the world and tipped for stardom, yet not that many actually went on to make it.

The same is true of all sports, most of all in football, where there is the highest number of people chasing the same dream. Everybody knows that only a minuscule proportion of those tipped for greatness will entirely fulfil their rich potential the challenge is identifying who will.

If it were simply a question of quantifiable factors like talent, then the process would be far simpler. It would mean that those predicted England teams for World Cups years in the future would be accurate, rather than amusingly wide of the mark and featuring names like Michael...

Leeds have to look at Sheffield United with hope, not regret – HITC – Football, Gaming, Movies, TV, Music

Posted: at 9:52 pm

Leeds should look at Sheffield United as inspiration.

Leeds United lost again at the weekend and risk seeing their Championship promotion hopes go up in smoke.

But they still have a great chance despite a poor run of form, and have to back themselves to bounce back.

Meanwhile at the weekend, Sheffield United won again in the Premier League to move into fifth position.

A year ago Leeds and Sheffield United were duking it out to win promotion, battling back and forth for an automatic spot. The Blades clinched it, before Leeds later lost in the play-offs.

It would be easy for Leeds to look at the Blades now with regret and envy that it is not them.

But the Whites need to look at Chris Wilder's side and have hope.

Instead of having a negative mental attitude about their own failure, Leeds and their players need to think positively at this moment and believe in what is possible.

Sheffield United had their fair share of knock backs during last season's topsy turvy run in, but came through it.

They shut out the distractions, fought together, and put together a run of results which clinched a top two place.

After getting to the Premier League, they haven't looked back. The Blades look just as good as many of the many so-called top teams, if not better.

Leeds can compete already, they showed this against Arsenal. They just need to be clinical and have mental strength.

Focusing on 'what might be possible', rather than worrying about losing. Concentrating on the rewards, instead of fear of missing out, might help them win again.

Have something to tell us about this article?

Anna Sofat interview: where is the vibrancy in the economy? Small firms – Money Observer

Posted: at 9:52 pm

Anna Sofat co-founded independent financial adviser Addidi in London with her husband in 2008, with the aim of helping women grow their wealth and build their businesses. In 2019, Anna was named Financial Adviser of the Year at the Women in Financial Advice Awards. In December, Addidi joined Progeny, a national advice firm. This month, Anna won the Professional Adviser Personality of the Year award.

My biggest money lessons come from my mum and include not spending money needlessly, but also the idea that you cant take it with you. She has a philosophy that what you need will come to you. This happens because you scale back on unnecessary expenditureperhaps, cutting your cloth as it were, or through adapting your mental attitude to be satisfied with what you already have. Theres a way of thinking right now that suggests that if you visualise what you want, and put your energy out there, then youll grow to be rich, for example, and abundance will follow. My mums philosophy is more about abundant generosity of spirit and being kind to people. While money buys you things and those items do have meaning, the main meanings in life are around family, love, and being a good person.

My primary school education was in Delhi, India. I moved from one capital city to another, arriving in London when I was 11. In India, education was very numbers-orientated. Maths held no fear for me, and I was at least three years ahead of my school classmates when I came to London. My brother was seven when we arrived in the UK and knew his times tables. Now, he is a bit numbers-phobic, and its interesting that this developed as he went through schooling in this country. I think numbers phobia is quite a British thing. During my time in the sixth form, I can remember banks visiting and talking about opening bank accounts, but there was nothing around money management.

Both of us. In the early days, I took care of the day-to-day money because I was around at home more with our two daughters, and now it is the other way around, and my husband does it. All the big financial decisions are made jointly.

I started training to be a banker with Woolwich, which is now part of Barclays. I remember joining the pension scheme; being in financial services, there was definitely an understanding that pension savings were important. My father encouraged me to have an endowment, but the first conscious investment that I made was a PEP.

My husband and I have done some angel investing, and in pure money terms, it is probably one of those firms. We run a business angel club for women. As womens wealth increases, they have to take their rightful place in the money world. Part of that is investing in small start-ups and small businesses because thats where the vibrancy of the economy is. If you dont invest in those little companies, they dont grow up to be big ones. Over the last 10 years, Ive invested in probably a dozen or so start-ups.

Probably a start-up. Such businesses can be amazing, but they are high risk and probably out of every 10, six or seven are going to go belly up.

Helping clients make things happen. Im privileged to share the picture they have in their head about what their idyllic life looks life. Clients open up and share their hopes and aspirations. The fact that I can use my expertise and know-how to help them achieve their dreams is a privilege.

The financial services industry should know the value of things, but it doesnt always. As an industry, we dont acknowledge value beyond the bottom line sometimes, but things are changing. For a business to be successful, its not just about profit. If profits are up, that is because of the action that people have taken, but that is not always recognised.

As an industry, for far too often financial services has looked at money as a way of lining its own pockets. The industry charges the most for those people who can least afford it. Take credit cards and loans, for example, and the biggest price is paid by those on low incomes.

We havent learned to be good citizens in our industry yet. When we got more freedom in the 1980s and banking deregulation came in, there was a Wild West element initially, where people looked for the shiny gold. But it comes at a big cost, and 2008 was that cost. I had hoped that we would take a moment to reflect about how we were going to move forward, but I dont think there has been as much of that as there ought to have been.

The industry has amazing scope to be a force for good for people throughout the world and we need to make it happen and also build a legacy that we can be proud of. Who is going to be proud of 2008? I know ex-City people who, for a number of years, did not want to be known as bankers and investment managers. I didnt want to be known as an IFA for many years. I would like an industry where people are proud to be who they are. We should be able to say, from the top to the bottom: I work in financial services and I do good. HSBC, for example, are going to enable people without a permanent address to open a bank account. Theres a vicious circle, where if you have been homeless or have had to move out of your rental property, you cant do a great deal in financial service. A bank facility is a basic function in modern-day society. Through good product design, some real hard-headed thinking around sustainability, and a little bit of work, we can have an amazing industry.

Lots! When I was a student at the University of Hull [where I read South-East Asian Studies], I had a weekly 10 budget. I cycled, avoided dining out at lunchtimes, and ate cheap meals.

To take more risk. Nowadays, women do need to consider taking more risk.

I like yoga and reading. A favourite novel is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. One of my 2020 plans is to carve out more me-time, and perhaps take up dancing, as I love music.

A writer.

The Price of Fame: Kanyes Faustian Bargain – The Yale Politic

Posted: at 9:52 pm

In 2016, hip-hop superstar Kanye West opened up about an opioid addiction triggered by liposuction surgery, which he underwent to avoid being called fat. When the news broke, it was clear something was wrong. The bravado and arrogance that Kanye usually flaunted publicly were replaced by crippling insecurity. It was clear from his own words: I was was really medicated, shoulders slumped down, and my confidence was gone.

Worryingly, these insecurities, bottled up over the years, manifested as the mental health issues referenced to on the intro track of his 2018 album, Ye. I Thought About Killing You is quite literally a reflectionaddressed to himselfof Kanyes suicidal thoughts during his breakdown in 2016.

Ironically, while Kanye was drowning in a sea of personal demons in 2016, his career was thriving. The Life of Pablo, released during his breakdown, received overwhelming critical acclaim from Complex, NME, and Pitchfork, and was the first streaming-only album to go platinum, further cementing his legacy as an icon of the genre. Conversely, two years later, Kanyedespite being much more mentally stabledropped his most mediocre album to date, Ye, which Pitchfork describes as undoubtedly a low point in his career.

This descending spiral is indicative of a larger curse that has haunted Kanye his entire career: his art serving as poison to his sanity. Its almost a Faustian bargain in nature. Just as the erudite Faust sold his soul to the Devil for unlimited knowledge, Kanye has had to sacrifice his mental health for musical perfection and intergenerational fame. Now, a year after Ye, we have another release. Jesus is King is a sloppy, last-minute replacement to the forthcoming album Yandhi, which was shelved after a leak, and only corroborates this theory.

Despite a heavily anticipated release, Jesus is King is a critical and commercial disappointment. Most criticism centers around the albums lack of authenticity. Rolling Stone claims the record has little to hold onto, Pitchfork describes it as largely flawed, and The Atlantic argues Kanye simply doesnt know what to say.

Given the titlewhich begs comparison to his earlier Christian gospel sound in College Dropout and Late Registrationmany fans expected a victorious return to Kanyes roots. Unfortunately, however, when juxtaposed with his prior work, Jesus Is King falls short.

The entire album echoes the sentiment he expressed in this recent appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden: God is using [me] as humbly as he can to show off. Kanye both professes his loyalty to God and puts himself on a pedestal because of his loyalty to God. Religion is merely a stepping stone for him to promote himself and his brand. This attitude makes his newfound devotion seem inauthentic, like nothing more than justification for his own ego.

This self-aggrandizement felt genuine in the past because it contributed to the authenticity of his albums themes. On Yeezuss I am a God, the blasphemous line I am a god, so hurry up with my damn massage doesnt try to hide Kanyes authentic egotism. But, on Jesus is King, Kanye elevates himself to the status of a prophet, making the album feel superficial. In Selah, he compares himself to Noah and in On God, Kanye asks himself, How you got so much favor on your side? Accept him as your Lord and savior. The message of Jesus Is King is polluted by Kanyes conflicting motivations of playing both God to his fans and prophet to Jesus.

For an album literally titled Jesus Is King, there is little interaction with what religion means to Kanye beyond his surface-level, dogmatic commitment. The album is filled with lyrics plagiarized from sermon cliches like God is my light in darkness on the track God Is, or Let your light reflect on me on Water. Absent is the lyricism that he is so masterful at using such as on Gorgeous from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, where he describes how hip-hop is forged out of struggle in the line inner-city anthems based off inner-city tantrums. On a conceptual level, the album contains no exploration of his own vulnerabilities with piety or his relationship with God. Missing is the complexity that we find in Jesus Walks on College Dropout where Kanye laments, God show me the way cause the Devils tryna break me down. Unfortunately, neither of the standout tracks Follow God and Closed on Sundaysembedded with solid production and compelling lyricismsave Jesus Is King from mediocrity.

What is missing in Jesus Is King and Ye is the blood, sweat, and tears Kanye is known for putting into his work. While the production isnt badand can even be pleasant at timesit isnt meaningful. The beats on the album dont tell stories or communicate nuanced philosophy. The entire album feels unfinished.

Perhaps its because perfection is no longer a matter of life or death for him. Kanyes recent tweet claiming he is just trying new ideas without the fear of being perfect is antithetical to the very identity of the hungry South Side rapper who once said as a man I am flawed but my music is perfect.

The effortless magic of his earlier work, like 2007s Stronger is the product of over 50 iterations worth of labor on the part of eight audio engineers, 11 mixing engineers, and Kanye himself, a dedication to the craft most evident in the nature of his samples. Crossing the boundaries of genre, space, and time, the man will parse through an infinite catalog of music to find the right sound and redefine it. This process has produced the iconic Shirley Bassey sample on Diamonds are Forever, the Nina Simone sample on Blood on the Leaves, and the Omegaa Hungarian rock bandsample on New Slaves. Kanyes unparalleled work ethic coupled with his raw intelligence propels him to new terrains.

Kanye is a legend because of his ability to discover and innovate with these iconic melodies. Its his knack for taking classic music samples and redefining them within the lyrical confines of street poetry. This intuitive mastery of musical manipulationconspicuously absent from Jesus is Kingallows him to pull from an entire universe of sound hidden to the average person and craft incredibly powerful, avant-garde compositions.

Kanyes talent combined with his superhuman work ethic has propelled him to dominate Hip Hop since 2001. At the time, despite being only a mere producer on Jay Zs most influential albumThe Blueprinthe gave the album a soul influence, drawing from The Jackson 5 and Bobby Blue Band. While soul is now commonplace in Kendrick Lamar or J. Coles music, it was truly revolutionary at the time.

The impact Kanye had is a ceiling every artist dreams of attaining once in their career. For Kanye the man, a troubled OCD perfectionist, moving backwards was never an option. If he had already revolutionized the hip-hop industry once, then his next logical step was to revolutionize it again. So, with each consecutive avant garde album, Kanye diversified Hip-Hop itself, injecting novel sounds into the very DNA of rap, and created interesting new spaces within an otherwise rather closed genre. 2007s Graduation introduced more pop-like, optimistic EDM music, 2008s 808s and Heartbreak laid the foundations of emo hip-hop artists like Post Malone and Drake, and 2013s Yeezus created space for fiery rock-and-roll rap.

But amidst all of this success, Kanyes mental stability has dramatically suffered. On G.O.O.D Musics Clique, he describes becoming depressed after his mothers death in 2007. This was the catalyst for much of the thematic focus on pain and depression in 808s and Heartbreak. While the media was quick to ridicule and lambast a drunken, incoherent Kanye during the 2009 VMAsindicative of attitudes towards mental health at the timefew stopped to consider the motivations of his behavior.

For a man who so prominently struts in the public eye, the signs have always been there. But Kanyes music has always overshadowed his pain. Thats why he claims hes laughing to keep from crying. Hes repressed his personal demons in order to thrive because he needs the demons to be Kanye the Icon. As Kanye puts it, his bipolar disorder aint no disability, its a superpower. This is why Kanye tweeted in 2017 that he cannot be on meds and make Watch the Throne or Dark Fantasy level music. Kanyes creativity stems from his pain.

This is because Kanye the man creates Kanye the Icon. The mans suffering lets the icon thrive. The transcendent beauty of the icons art is birthed by the pain of an overachiever doomed to underperform his own expectations. Just as the deal with the Devil was worth it to the erudite Faust in the German Legend, Kanye has seen his own Faustian bargain as necessary for years. This was until he was forced to confront his problems head on after being hospitalized for a Britney-esque mental breakdown in 2016. Since then, he has worked on his health and reached a much better place mentally, with a beautiful life, family, and support system. Even if Ye and Jesus is King are mediocre additions to an otherwise stellar discography, they gift Kanye with a natural stopping point to his legendary career. For Kanye, a man who has been imprisoned by his obsessive perfectionist tendencies, Jesus is King is a blessing in disguise. Its his get-out-of-jail-free card, his way out of his deal with the Devil.

DWTS judge Julian Benson reveals dance has kept him alive as he opens up about battle with Cystic Fib – The Irish Sun

Posted: at 9:52 pm

DANCING With The Stars judge Julian Benson has revealed that dance has kept him alive during his battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

The judge, affectionately known as 'Captain Sparkle' by fans, said that the secret to his long life is dance and a positive attitude.

3

3

The 48-year-old spoke to James Patrice on the DWTS podcast about how he deals with CF.

He said: "I had cystic fibrosis but Cystic fibrosis never had me I never let define me. I always had my dreams I had all my passions.

"When I was young I always wanted to dance. It was in my heart. It was my passion. I lived my dreams and I had an amazing supportive mum and family.

"Family are so important because it helped me keep going. You obviously have your highs and your lows, James, I'd be lying if I didn't say that but it was all about positive mental attitude.

"I believe anything can be achieved in life if you truly want it and if you strive for it and you keep going.

"When you dance it makes you feel good and they say scientifically that dance is great for dementia, great for keeping your body fit and if I'm honest with you, dance has kept me alive.

"Dance has helped me beat CF."

And Julian revealed he always had big dreams about what he wanted to do with his life.

He said: "I suppose I just have this resilience in me. #nosurrender. I want people to meet the real Julian and Julian who aspired to be the performer, the artist, the choreographer.

"I think that was just something I had because everybody in life has their own challenge, I just happen to have CF but everyone has their own story and I wanted to get out there and be known for my talents and be known for my personality and who I am.

"And that was just my little challenge that I dealt with and I'm proud now. I went into an industry, I suppose, a dancer.

"It was unheard of for someone with cystic fibrosis to be a professional dancer and that drove me to say, 'I'm going to do this, I'm going to make it, whatever it takes'.

"There were no limits, there were only possibilities for me and I mapped out my career in my head. I knew what I wanted so I wasn't going to let CF hold me back. Why should I?"

The positive judge just released a charity single Cha Cha Boom to raise money for CF and debuted it on Sunday's show which had viewers at home calling for him to represent Ireland in the Eurovision with the catchy tune.

Julian admitted that the pop song had its own positive message.

He said: "I think what you should do is embrace whatever you have. I embrace my CF.

"'Hello Mr CF we're going to live together but we're going to have some guidelines here, we're going to sort out this prenup. I'm going to go on my career path. I'm going to dance and do fashion. I'm going to do all these things.'

"Cha Cha Boom is my message to people 'Get up get out live your dreams, go for your goals, nothing can stop you, just give it your all and feel good'."

The reality of Julian's illness means he appreciates every breathe.

He said: "The doctors have said it, the scientists have said it because my prognosis, when I was born way back in the 70s, it wasn't going to be a good story but I was training, I was dancing, my fitness, my nutrition and that has stood up to me in years because I've built up my bone density, my lung capacity, my flow of oxygen, all of these things that we all take for granted.

"I have to get up in the morning and I have to do about an hour or so of aerate clearance to clear my lungs.

Latest

"I have mucus and I have all of that so every morning and every night, I have to do that before I do anything.

"So before I even start to get glamtastic I have to take my nebulisers, take my machines then do all the - you know when you have a cold and a cough, the phloem - imagine having that every single day and having to clear that out twice a day.

"I actually never said, 'why me?'. I think there's actually a new scientific study that came out very very recently about if you keep your mind in the positive zone you actually tend to live 9-12 months longer if you have a terminal illness or something."

The Spaniard believes he was making progress before his abrupt departure from north London late last year

Unai Emery has defended his record as Arsenal boss and questioned the attitude of some of the players he managed during his tenure at Emirates Stadium.

Emery was sacked as Gunners head coach in November, just 19 months after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain to succeed the long-serving Arsene Wenger.

The club missed out on Champions League qualification during his first season in charge, though they did improve on their finishing position from the previous year by coming fifth and reaching the Europa League final, where they were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea in Baku.

Despite missing out on silverware and a top four place, Emery believes his first campaign in north London should be considered a success, as he had arrested a slide that had begun during the final few years of the Wenger era.

Arsenal was a club on the downward slope for two years when I arrived, Emery told France Football.

We stopped this fall and even started to straighten the club with a Europa League final and a fifth place in the championship, only one place behind Tottenham.

We had the qualification for the Champions League in hand and it went wrong in the (Europa League)final. But it was a good season and we had the idea to continue this progression.

Emery was backed in the transfer market over the summer, with the likes of Nicolas Pepe, David Luiz and Kieran Tierney joining the clubto try and fuel a Champions League charge.

However, the Gunnerscontinued to struggle for consistency and after a run of seven games without a win, their worst run of form since 1992, Emery was dismissed with the club eighth in the Premier League, eight points outside the top four.

Emery blames those poor results on a lack of leadership following the summer departures of Laurent Koscielny, Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Nacho Monreal, while suggesting some of those who remainedlackedthe required mental attributes to succeed.

We lost our four captains:Koscielny, Cech, Ramsey andMonreal, Emery said. We have missed personalities this season to stay on track. And some stars did not have the right attitude and asked for more than they gave.

"Given all that, it would have taken more time to successfully transition to the new Arsenal that I wanted.
