How to relieve Stress
Dr Cate Howell and Colleagues have a focus on behavioural medicine and wellbeing, providing comprehensive services for individuals with life crises, relationship issues, stress, panic/anxiety, depression, grief, sleep problems and other concerns. We have a particular interest in eating disorders, including restrictive eating and obesity, and health-related issues. We offer a team-based approach and a range of therapeutic services -- life coaching, therapy, psychology, dietician, naturopath, massage, reiki- tailored to suit the individual. Our approach is holistic, addressing lifestyle issues, providing information and support, psychosocial strategies or medication if required. Dr Cate Howell sees clients for individual and couple therapy, and utilises cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), hypnosis, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT). She is also trained in neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and life coaching. Cate is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, working in research and teaching medical and postgraduate psychotherapy students.
