The hockey season is a grind. Youve heard it before, Ive typed it before, thats not exactly new information. But it bears repeating because it shapes so much of how and why hockey teams operate the way they do.

Whats tough is, you can never get too far ahead, which means you can never really relax. Yes, I could put together player and systems scout sheets for our Friday opponent early in the week, but that team almost certainly plays once or twice that week, and on Friday youll want to know what theyre doing now, not what they did a few games ago.
