Moonlight on the Ganges
In December of 1981, Sewell hosted a party called "Moonlight on the Ganges" to celebrate his retirement from real estate and return to the world of art and design. The black tie party was held at Bruno #39;s restaurant in Mar Vista, California near Venice. The main dining room was transformed into a classic Fellini-like environment complete with marble columns and music performed by Brad Kay and his orchestra including Mr. Parton singing the famous song "Moonlight on the Ganges." Guests came from all over the world to celebrate.
