PUMA today launches the next RACE OFF video, this time with the Spanish International footballer Cesc Fbregas in the hot seat.
Check out his personal performance today on http://www.puma.com/raceoff, with the English cricketer Craig Kieswetter to follow as the next challenger on Thursday, 20th September 2012.
Before his own performance in the simulator, Cesc Fbregas said, If you watch a sport from the outside, it always looks easy. In football, many people on the stand think it must be simple, but I can tell you, as soon as you get onto the pitch, things turn out to be a lot more difficult. I am sure this is the same thing for the Formula One drivers, so I would love to get the chance to once step into Nico Rosbergs shoes to drive a proper racing car on a circuit.
This summer, Formula One Star Nico Rosberg of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 team, challenged some of the best from the world of sport to try their hand in Formula One. PUMA RACE OFF sees sporting stars such as Sergio Agero, Cesc Fbregas, Michael Carrick and many more given the chance to prove their talent in the fastest sport - the fastest will have the opportunity of a driving lesson from Nico, before putting their skills to the test in a high-performance Mercedes-Benz car around a real racing circuit.
Nico Rosberg commented, PUMA RACE OFF is a very interesting concept and I really like the idea of merging different sport categories. And, he added cheekily, I am intrigued to see how all these top athletes perform in a real sport!
PUMA will launch two new videos every week, showcasing individual player performances on the famous Monza race track which can be seen at: http://www.puma.com/raceoff. Follow PUMA Motorsport Facebook and @PUMAMotorsport on Twitter for regular updates.

Gator Lerentee McCray's personal adversity has fueled his success

Lerentee McCray, front (34), and other Florida players celebrate with fans after defeating Tennessee 37-20 at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. (Christine Casey for the Orlando Sentinel / Sep 18, 2012)
GAINESVILLE As an 18-year-old freshman for the 2008 Florida Gators, linebacker Lerentee McCray enjoyed the ultimate success in college football.
With a national championship ring on his finger already, McCray looked ahead to his best years with the Gators. Instead, injuries, position changes and coach Urban Meyer's departure stalled McCray's career.
Things were no better an hour down the road from Gainesville, back home in Dunnellon, where McCray faced a family crisis and questions about his struggles with the Gators.
But McCray never questioned himself and has become a leader on defense three games into his fifth and final season at Florida.
"The most difficult point was hearing everybody back home just asking my mom what is going on with me and all that," McCray recalled. "That and just a couple of injuries that bumped me down the road. That's been the hardest part, but I have been able to overcome it."
No one on the Gators defense the backbone of the nation's 14th-ranked team preparing to host Kentucky (1-2) Saturday has made more impact plays than McCray.
During last weekend's 37-20 win at Tennessee, McCray intercepted a pass to set up the game's first touchdown and forced another pick in the third quarter, with the score 20-20. A week earlier at Texas A&M, McCray sacked elusive freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel as the Gators shut out the Aggies explosive offense during the second half of a 20-17 win.
"He can drop in coverage; he can rush the quarterback; he's physical," senior inside linebacker Jon Bostic said. "He's everything you want in a player."

The biotechnology industry is fuelling mobility and economic growth and it is expected to show a strong upward momentum in the future. Many investors once considered biotech stocks untouchable, but all that is about to change.
Spectrum Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: SPPI) a small, fast growing company which has achieved almost quadruple its revenue is gradually getting its due recognition in the biotechnology industry. The strengths and opportunities outnumber the weaknesses and threats. The vast product portfolio and strategic alliances, in the ever growing cancer market that it has garnered, is slowly pushing it above the intense competition.
Spectrums MD, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President said that the company expects $300 million in revenue for this year. Spectrum turned profitable in 2011 after posting losses in prior years, actually earning $48.5 million, or 84 cents a share, in 2011. For 2012, analysts are forecasting earnings of between $1.37 a share and $1.96.
In the first five years since its inception, Spectrum transitioned from a small start-up entity to a growing, development-stage company. In the second five years, Spectrum has transformed into a successful commercial company. Spectrum markets three oncology drugs FUSILEV (levoleucovorin) an Injection marketed in the U.S.; FOLOTYN (pralatrexate injection), also marketed in the U.S.; and ZEVALIN (ibritumomab tiuxetan) another injection, for which the Company has worldwide marketing rights.
Fusilev, which is indicated for osteosarcoma and colorectal cancer, is the big revenue driver accounting for 78% of total sales. The company is not only cash rich but has reported revenue of $232.56 million, with $128.56 million in the first two quarters of 2012.
The completion of the Allos acquisition is a major milestone for Spectrum giving the combined company a third approved drug. Allos is currently focused on the development and commercialization of FOLOTYN (pralatrexate injection), a folate analog metabolic inhibitor. FOLOTYN is approved in the U.S. for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). Allos will no longer trade publicly because the company is now a subsidiary of Spectrum
Spectrum has also signed an exclusive collaboration with Allergan (AGN), a technology-driven global health care company, for thedevelopment and commercialization of Apaziquone, an agent aimed at treating non-musclebladder cancer. . Apaziquone is one of Spectrumstwo drugs undergoingphase 3 clinical trials, to determine its safety and efficacy as a potential treatment forbladder cancer.
The company is valued with a P/E ratio of just over 8, which is far less than the forward ratio of biotech companies with similar growth such as Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: REGN) and Alexion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ALXN).
