Ciara may come off as a closed off artist when it comes to her personal life, but like most passionate people, she wears her heart on her sleeve. She inspires to be great, but at the same time, she also wants that same energy transferred onto others.
"What makes me happy is definitely having success and also knowing that I may have inspired someone or influence some other young girl or young person to go after what they believe in, that definitely touches me," Ciara told Singersroom.
With her fifth studio album on its way, the 27-year-old's longevity can be credited to her chase of greatness, but at the same time, having a fundamentally sound foundation.
"The things that I choose to chase in life is definitely having success. I definitely hope to make a mark in music," Ciara adds. "I chase life success, personal life success. I chase having that family foundation balance to it all, because that to me is how I will really be able to enjoy what I do, just know that it's supported with love."
Ciara's next LP, One Woman Army, will arrive soon.

Trophy success for Shrewsbury althlete Emily Ball

Shropshire field athlete Emily Ball has won acclaim for a three-medal haul in her native county.
Graham Merrington, secretary of the Shropshire Athletic Association, presents the Presidents Cup trophy to 15-year-old Emily Ball, from Oswestry
Ball, from Oswestry, won gold in shot and discus and bronze in javelin at the Shropshire County Championships at Telford last May.
The 15-year-old, who represents Chester-based West Cheshire AC, hit 10.23m in the shot, 28.57m in the discus and 23.74 with the javelin for third spot.
Her promise was recognised this week when she was presented with the Shropshire Athletic Associations Presidents Cup at the bodys annual general meeting. The teenager has made good progress this year and competed in the All-England Championships in Gateshead in July when she bagged a bronze with a personal best of 11.15m in the shot.
Association secretary Graham Merrington said: Emily is a good prospect and her performance in the Championships made her a well-deserved winner of the Presidents Trophy.
Bridgnorth ACs Rhys Bevan won the Clements Cup for his 51.69m throw in the mens under-17s javelin.
Follow live updates as Shrewsbury Town take on Leyton Orient and AFC Telford travel to Tamworth.
Shropshires Ted Hankey hopes his truce with darts fans will hold as he looks to put a permanent end to his pantomime villain tag at the Grand Slam.
Luke Rodgers has been challenged to earn a long-term deal at the Greenhous Meadow after sealing a nostalgic return to Shrewsbury Town.
