Strike a pose: Auburn #39;s Yogafly Studio
For Yogafly Studio owner Peach Dumars, yoga was always second nature, but until she moved to Auburn, opening a studio had never crossed her mind. "I grew up with a mom who owned a yoga studio, so it was kind of in my blood," Dumars said. "But I lived in California for six years, and when I lived in California I would have never dreamed of opening a studio because there #39;s so many. There #39;s a yoga studio on every street corner." Le Male Yoga — New York City’s Only Yoga for Men Studio — Expands its Schedule in 2013
Posted: at 1:47 am
Le Male Yoga in New York City expands its offer of Power Flow Yoga and Naked Tantric Yoga to accommodate the growing demand of its male-only members and expand the extraordinary community of fit men who want to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes.
New York (PRWEB) January 08, 2013
Taking a bold new direction by creating a Yoga Studio for Men, Joschi Schwarz -- owner of Le Male Yoga -- is inspired by the variety of men who come to the studio with excitement as well as laughter to experience the intimate and provocative new concept. Schwarzs eye to redefining the yoga industry has paid off, men are flocking to the new studio and enjoy a real community of men who want to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes while working out and connecting with each other.
Le Male Yoga focuses on mens unique body blueprints, specializing in classes for men to build on their specific strengths and weaknesses. Power Flow Yoga embodies the masculinity of yoga for men and gives men the opportunity to practice in a safe, yet challenging and fun environment.
Naked Tantric Yoga is a sensual experience for men to practice yoga without the restriction of clothing and leave their inhibitions at the door. As French philosopher, Michel de Montaigne, noted, man is the sole animal whose nudity offends his own companions, and covering the body is one way in which we hide ourselves and our stories from the world. Practicing yoga in the nude helps Le Male Yogas students work with self-esteem, self-image and self-confidence.
About Joschi Le Male Yoga:
Le Male Yoga is for fit men who aim to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes. Le Male Yoga offers Tantra and Vinyasa Yoga to give fit, in-shape and athletic men a unique opportunity to recharge their body, update their mindset and celebrate life.
Le Male Yoga provides a welcoming and real community for all men - gay, straight or bisexual - who enjoy fitness, communal bonding, socializing & having fun in a safe and judgment-free atmosphere.
Explore Power Flow Yoga for a high-heat, high-energy workout, Tantric Yoga to tap into your sexual core energy and Yogassage to enhance the body's erotic potential. Whether students are beginners, advanced practitioners or somewhere in between, LMY offers something for every man. Le Male Yoga offers one-of-a kind classes, workshops, retreats and teacher training programs in New York City and around the world.

Yoga classes resume at Connellsville library
Posted: at 1:47 am
Published: Monday, January 7, 2013, 9:08p.m. Updated 6 hours ago
Yoga classes with Cathy Kumor have resumed at Carnegie Free Library in Connellsville. Kumor invites everyone to discover the many benefits of yoga.
First-time students can try a class for free. The schedule is Tuesdays, 9 to 10:15 a.m.; Wednesdays, 9 to 10:15 a.m. (if you are new to yoga, this class is for you); and Wednesdays, 6 to 7:30 p.m. (this class will begin Jan. 16). The classes are $10 each or a package of three classes for $25. No expiration date on the three sessions. Saturday classes (10:15 to 11:45 a.m.) are by donation, which benefits FRIENDS of Carnegie Free Library. The suggested donation is $5. Everyone is welcome and invited to make yoga a part of their 2013.
With the new year come many opportunities for celebrating and acknowledging anniversaries. The ones that I know about so far are the 110th year of the magnificent Carnegie Free Library of Connellsville, the 100th year of the Molinaro Band, the 50th year of Craig Appliance & Furniture and Fox Glass; and the 10th annual Braddocks Crossing re-enactment of the Youghiogheny River coming up in June. There were several last year that I may not have mentioned at the time, including the 60th anniversary of Lynns Dairy Queen in Connellsville and the 10th year of The Book Case. Id like to hear from anyone who knows of others, so we all can congratulate them, too.
Cait Cuneos record release party will be in Pittsburgh at the Rex Theatre on Jan. 18, where she will debut her first single, Violet. Vince and Cait are anxious to get a big Connellsville crowd there for this special evening. Get more information and directions on Caits Facebook page.
A very interesting speaker at Rotary last week was Kim Giles, the deconstruction manager at Demo Depot. There are so many products and services available there that is impossible for me to remember to list them all. They sell, at great savings, reclaimed and new building materials, hardware, landscape materials, appliances, furniture, windows, doors, flooring, kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, lighting, recycled paint and more all in a very well-organized showroom, the former Cooks Lumber in Mt. Pleasant. They accept donations of reusable building materials and surplus from businesses, manufacturers, homeowners and the general public. Your donations to Demo Depot are tax-deductible, and you prevent the materials from going to the landfill. There are new recycling programs and other benefits to consumers that you can find out about by visiting the business at One Cooks Way, calling 724-552-0491 or going to http://www.ShopDemoDepot.com.
Congratulations to Connellsvilles John F. Wagner Jr. He was recently sworn in as president judge of Fayette County Common Pleas Court. Its a proud moment for him and his family and a prestigious honor of which our community, too, should be proud.
The final report on the FRIENDS Seasonal Cookie Jar Sale was sent by Karen Macko. Commencing at the Mum Festival and completing at Its A Connellsville Christmas, the project doubled its profits from last year.
The FRIENDS members volunteered to help and were the keystone to the success of this project. Not only did the membership sell record amounts of cookie jars, they showed up to do the work by putting Andys Cranberry Cookies and FRIENDS Death by Chocolate cookie jars together. We are blessed with extraordinary volunteers, and they are appreciated! The FRIENDS created a very efficient assembly-line operation in the library kitchen, and we had lots of laughter and fun, too! At every selling opportunity in the community that we attended as a group, the Andys and FRIENDS cookies were always served with coffee or cold drinks, much to the delight of our customers. All monies made are targeted for the library auditorium, Macko said.
A reminder comes to fill out the Carnegie Free Library short survey asking what programs you would be interested in attending at the library in 2013. Please fill it out by going to http://www.carnegiefreelib.org and clicking on suggestions survey. Everyone who responds by Jan. 31 will be entered in a drawing for a gift card.
