It would be the understatement of the year to say that the fall 2013 Betsey Johnson show was anything but boring when, in fact, it was BRILLIANT and fun and refreshinga complete welcome surprise, a breath of fresh air in the midst of a pretty humdrum New York Fashion Week full of sullen skinny girls walking down runways looking grouchy.

Here is what happened, in the most basic recap terms: Betsey Johnson's models skipped down the runway chatting on iPhones and wearing the designer's signature loud-and-proud colorful sportswear. On the way back, each model stopped at a hot pink yoga mat, stripped down to their Betsey Johnson workout outfits, and the Betsey herself bounded out from backstage and led a full-on Jane Fonda-style aerobics class.
