21 JUNE 2013 Britney Spears has revealed that she practises yoga to keep both her mind and body healthy. "It's like my go-to between all anxiety and everything," she told TV host Ryan Seacrest. "I'm doing a lot of yoga right now." The singer, who works hard to keep her body toned, joins a host of famous yoga fans including includes Jennifer Aniston, Gisele Bundchen and Madonna.

Mother-of-two Britney admits that she didn't always enjoy this fitness discipline. "The first time I did yoga I didn't like it at all," she said, adding that the secret was to find a good teacher "someone you kind of connect with."

Britney recently appeared on the cover of Shape magazine showing off her enviable figure in a white bikini. Inside the magazine, she is photographed demonstrating a selection of yoga poses including Warrior Two.

"I think if you find the right instructor it does wonders for your body, it really does," she says.

Jennifer Aniston 44, has long championed the disciplines physical and mental benefits, crediting it with helping her maintain her incredible body and keeping her calm as she prepares for her wedding to Justin Theroux. "It's completely changed my life," she has said. "It's one of the most fun workouts I've ever had."

Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga and Adam Levine are also devoted yogis. Michelle Williams has said, "Yoga gives me relieve like nothing else; it makes me a better person and better mother."

According to Science Daily, recent research suggests that a single, 20-minute session of Hatha yoga significantly improves participants' results in memory tests.

Not only that, but those involved in the study, performed significantly better in tests immediately after the yoga practice than after aerobic exercise for the same amount of time.

Gisele Bundchen is raising a yogi! On Wednesday, June 19, the Brazilian supermodel shared a new Instagram picture of her 6-month-old daughter Vivian sharing her yoga mat in a swanky hotel room. "Practicing yoga with my little partner before going to work. Enjoy your day," Bundchen wrote in the caption, which was also translated in her native tongue, Portuguese.

Bundchen -- who earned a reported $45 million in 2012, according to Forbes' annual Highest-Paid Models list -- has been practicing yoga for years. In an April 2010 Vogue cover story, Tom Brady's wife said she "gained only 30 pounds" while pregnant with her son Benjamin, now 3. "I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week."

The outspoken former Victoria's Secret Angel also told the magazine she was "mindful" about what she ate while pregnant with her son: "I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals."

Shortly after Vivian's Dec. 5, 2012 birth, Brady, 35, said he was excited to have another girl in the family. (The New England Patriots quarterback is also dad to John, 5, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan.)
