Ahh, that's better.
Ever try running that extra mile, upping the ante in your weight-training routine or trying out a new aerobics class only to pay for it in sore muscles the next dayor two? Called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), the achy pain results from tiny, microscopic tears in the muscles that naturally occur when they are stressed.
The good news: Simple science-based solutions can help ease the soreness.
Get a massage
This one is easy, right? Its nice when something that feels good actually does good. A February 2012 study published in the journal Science Translational Medicineshowed massage can ease post-exercise pain because it reduces the production of compounds called cytokines, which play a role in inflammation.

Voters stage dharna at Council Hall; all political parties except Congress join them

Many were in for a rude shock at polling booths when they found their names missing from the voters' list, thus couldn't vote; stage dharna at Council Hall; all political parties except Congress join them
Pune: From a voters turnout of 39.07 per cent in 2009, the voting graph came up to a more decent 53.46 per cent this year in Pune. However, happiness was short-lived as the city witnessed utter chaos on Tuesday as hundreds of disgruntled citizens claimed that their names were missing from the voters' list.
Agitated citizens held dharna at Council hall till late night demanding re-election or allowing them to vote before the last phase of the election ends. The anger of citizens which reached its peak towards the end of the day, started at the different voting centres when they went to vote and found that their names are missing from the voters' list. Most of the complaints came from areas like Kothrud, Prabhat Road, Law College Road, etc. These citizens included senior citizens, women and even youngsters, some of them carrying voting cards which they had got during previous elections. Groups of agitated citizens were seen arguing with the election officers asking them to allow them to excercise their voting rights. However, the election officers were helpless as they did not have any such powers. After the voting ended at 6 pm, an agitated mob decided to gather at the Council Hall. After the message was circulated on the social media, more people gathered followed by political leaders. Anil Shirole, BJP candidate from Pune, announced that he would go on an indefinite fast unless the issue is resolved. Shirole wanted to submit a memorandum of the demands to the district collector but he was denied the meeting after which he along with his supporters sat on dharna in the Council Hall. "We have prepared a memorandum of our demands. We want the Election Commission to allow the citizens who have voters' ID card to exercise their vote. If the demands are not accepted, I will begin an indefinite hunger strike from Friday," he said. RTI activist Vinita Deshmukh also joined Shirole and the agitated citizens. She has also decided to join Shirole for the fast. As the agitation grew bigger, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Subhash Ware also joined in the agitation. "People have the right to vote and it cannot be taken away from them,"said Ware. Collector Saurabh Rao had a discussion with the agitated citizens and tried pacifying them but they were not in a mood to listen to his clarification. As more people started gathering, Rao had to go to the first floor of the Council Hall. Finally Rao had to announce that he has spoken to the state election commissioner and the CEO. "I will take the observers' recommendation and opinion and send it to the state election committee and the CEO," said Rao.

Southeast Asia Stocks: Thai shares close at 5-mth hHigh; M'sia 2nd day gain, Vietnam falls
Posted: at 4:47 am
HANOI: Thai shares on Friday closed at their highest since late November on solid buying while Vietnam's benchmark tumbled to a nine-week low amid widespread selling. Bangkok's SET Index edged up 0.03 percent to mark a third straight day of gains, led by telecom firm Advanced Info Service Pcl which rose 1.27 percent. "Decent foreign equity inflows may continue to support SET in the near term," KGI Securities said in a note to clients. Foreign investors were net buyers of shares worth 7.5 billion baht ($233.1 million) in the $386-billion market in seven consecutive trading sessions as of Friday , Reuters data showed. But analysts expect the index to face some selling off around a resistance level of 1420. "Catalysts for possible near-term correction remain local institutional selling and the longer than expected drag from politics," KGI said. Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur Composite Index witnessed a second day of gains after hitting a three-week low on Wednesday. It edged up 0.12 percent to end at 1852.69. The Vietnamese index, however, plummeted 2.58 percent to its lowest level since Feb. 2 on widespread offloading of stocks amid strong selling on expectations of further losses. VN Index has dropped 5.16 percent this week, losing its title as Southeast Asia's best performer so far this year. Stock markets in Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines were closed for a holiday and will resume trading on Monday. Lululemon yoga pants lawsuits dismissed
Posted: at 4:46 am
NEW YORK - A U.S. judge has issued final dismissals of lawsuits accusing Lululemon Athletica Inc and various company officials of defrauding shareholders by concealing defects in yoga pants.
U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest in Manhattan had on April 4 issued "draft" decisions dismissing a shareholder lawsuit against Lululemon, and two lawsuits accusing 11 executives and directors of missing red flags about poor quality control.
The judge issued a final, longer ruling dismissing the proposed shareholder class action on Friday, after having done the same in the other two lawsuits last week.
Shareholders accused Lululemon of failing to disclose how its black Luon yoga pants were too sheer, culminating in an expensive March 2013 recall.
They also accused the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company of overstating its ability to ensure good quality control and of concealing plans to replace its since departed chief executive, Christine Day.
But Forrest wrote on Friday that the plaintiffs' "narrative requires the court to stretch allegations of, at most, corporate mismanagement into actionable federal securities fraud."
"This is not the law," she added.
The lawsuits had sought damages for an estimated $2 billion decline in Lululemon's market value. Lululemon has denied wrongdoing.
A lawyer for the plaintiffs and representatives for Lululemon did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
