Spiritual Journey Awaits Readers in Melinda Edwards New Novel
Posted: at 12:46 pm
Carrara, Australia (PRWEB) June 28, 2014
In Melinda Edwards poignant new novel, Saving Virginia: A novel (published by Balboa Press AU), a middle-aged control-obsessed woman learns to love herself, others and the world as she begins an epic quest towards self-actualization.
Set in Melbourne, Australia, Saving Virginia centers on lawyer Virginia Goodall. Reeling from a painful divorce and a career transition, Virginia feels as if shes grasping at straws, especially as her two children graduate high school and leave the nest.
No longer a wife, mother or boss, who is Virginia? In a reflective journey that takes her from a human doing to a human being, Virginia struggles to realize that she may not be able to control everyone and everything around her, but it is this realization that just might make her happiest.
Laced with humor and wit, Saving Virginia touches on many social issues that middle-aged women face, including divorce and empty nests. Edwards, a lawyer herself, aims to inspire women to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery while giving them ideas on practical strategies for starting them.
Virginia loves to read and tries to apply the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Brian Weiss, Sonia Choquette and Ariel Ford to her own circumstances, writes Edwards. She also explores Buddhism and social enterprise work to find more meaning in her life.

Fake pregnancy means lots of excercise for Vanessa Hudgens
Posted: at 7:47 pm
VANESSA Hudgens often works out twice a day.
The 25-year-old actress is obsessed with exercise and admits she feels very guilty if she misses a session in the gym.
The 'Spring Breakers' star said: "I try to exercise twice a day. If I didn't work out yesterday or today, I'm like, 'Oh, no!'
"I love being active."
The brunette beauty, who is dating 'The Carrie Diaries' star Austin Butler, likes to challenge herself by mixing up her activities.
Asked about her favourite ways to stay fit, she told Us Weekly magazine: "Hiking, yoga, Pilates, spinning, dancing and aerial yoga."
She added: "Staying fit is just fun."
Vanessa gained 15 pounds to play a pregnant teenager in the movie, 'Gimme Shelter,' last year and previously admitted that while she had no problem putting the weight on, it made her feel very insecure.
She said: "I didn't feel comfortable in my body because I gained this weight."
She later added: "Getting it off was the more difficult part. It was a lot of exercise...Just doing a lot of cardio, a lot of yoga and just really anything active."
