Zen Technologies, which develops training equipment and simulators for weapons and allied defence equipment, and Rockwell Collins will be unveiling a new aviation simulator product during the Aero India 2015 show.

The two companies had recently concluded an MoU to jointly develop simulation and training products.

The Hyderabad-based Zen Technologies specialises in modern ground simulation and training solutions.

Rockwell Collins, based in Cedar Rapids, lowa, with facilities in Hyderabad and near New Delhi, also provides aviation simulation and training products, systems and integration solutions. In 2008, Rockwell Collins opened a design centre in Hyderabad to augment the companys existing engineering capabilities.

Ashok Atluri, Managing Director of Zen Technologies, said Aero India 2015 would be a perfect platform to showcase its new product in the aviation simulation segment.

Jim Walker, Vice-President and MD (Asia Pacific) of Rockwell, said: We look forward to continuing this collaboration to bring the latest simulation and training technology to the Indian military market.

Turning up the volume to get pumped up could end up costing you your hearing.

Although the golden days of aerobics have retired loud fashion choices, the music at the gym keeps cranking up the volume.

The average level of music in spin classes reaches close to 99 decibels, which is close to a jet engine 80 feet off the ground!

The study also showed that listening to anything over 100 decibels can cause hearing damage after just 15 minutes.

To avoid hearing damage or loss, you shouldnt be exposed to anything over 80 decibels, which is equivalent to the sound of a motorcycle.

As far as the gym, increasing the tempo of the music, not the volume, is the best way to get a class moving!

The National Acoustics Laboratory, a research division of Australian Hearing Hub, teamed up with the University of Newcastle to conduct the comparative study.
