An online program through which people can gain the experience, skills, confidence and certification to teach mediation is now available for people in their own homes. This online program from The Expanding Light Retreat uses online teaching's best practices - delivered by professionals with decades of experience in meditating and teaching meditation. From personalized training to post-training support, program leaders will help students in every way to become the teacher they truly want to be.

Ananda Meditation and the related techniques in this training are time-tested, traditional practices, based on the highest ancient yogic practices of India, as brought to the West by Paramhansa Yogananda. Yogananda was the author of Autobiography of a Yogi. For the first time, these teaching methods are available online. Those who earn a certificate will be able to help their students become calm, concentrate better, improve their health, and become more effective in their lives. They will achieve a balanced perspective on lifeand cultivate lasting happiness.

The first offering of Meditation Teacher Training Online will be April 13, 2015, through Online with Ananda. This is the only time this program will be offered in 2015. There is a special introductory discount. Participants must apply in advance.

The pace of this programs supports busy life-styles. Participants receive a comprehensive course manual and many other resources, including access to videos. All through the course, there are opportunities to ask questions of The Expanding Light's expert meditation teachers, both live and in online discussion forums.

This course offers 49 hours of continuing education credit (non-contact hours) for Continuing Education for Yoga Alliance RYT's and E-RYT's.
