Artist John Duckworth, who stages the occasional performance art piece in addition to being a well-known painter, created a multi-room, immersive art experience featuring paintings, sound, video, and public meditation by the artist, that is. During the opening reception, guests waited in line to be let into the exhibit, which opened with a 12-minute video that was projected onto and around Duckworth as he meditated. The idea was to bring the viewers into the present awakening them so that they would be able to be more receptive to the work that followed. After the video, guests kept their wireless headsets on and followed a path through small galleries, created especially for Awake, filled with paintings of the Buddha, abstract technicolor landscapes, vinyl-mounted photographs, and various works on paper while listening to music written as a soundtrack to the experience. There were 90 pieces total, making it one of the City Gallerys largest exhibits ever. Taken together, those 90 works of art gave us a glimpse into Duckworths personal mindfulness practice, which is a major part of his life and work.

Survive Mount Massive Asylum in Outlast, coming to OS X

Developer Red Barrels took to twitter to reveal that survival horror title Outlast has been ported to OS X and Linux. The game, set in a run-down psychiatric hospital overrun by homicidal patients has a Blair Witch aesthetic, and eschews combat, relying on the player's mental dexterity to stay alive, rather than go in guns blazing to rectify the problem.

The OS X version is not quite yet available. System requirements on the PC are a 2.2GHz dual-core processor, with a 512GB MB video card. The title is available for $20 on Steam.

Take the field with RBI Baseball 15's first time on OS X, iOS

Official Major League Baseball title RBI Baseball 15 will see a "debut shortly after Opening Day" according to the league for iOS and OS X. The second version of the rebooted title includes authentic stadiums, full 40-man rosters for all 30 teams, statistic tracking, and other upgrades that were demanded after last year's poorly received launch.

Zen Studios to fight the Empire with Rebels-based pinball table

Zen Studios has revealed that it it adding a Star Wars: Rebels table to its Zen Pinball 2 series for OS X and iOS during the week of April 27. According to the developer, the table features "fully-animated starships including the Ghost and TIE fighters, a flaming engine thruster spindisk, Chopper's own mini playfield, and seven exciting missions inspired by the show."
