Of course, it is not always easy to forgive. Even some anointed Christians in the first century apparently found it challenging to settle their differences. (Phil. 4:2) If we have been hurt by a fellow believer, what can help us? Consider Job. He was deeply hurt when his friendsEliphaz, Bildad, and Zopharhurled baseless accusations at him. (Job 10:1; 19:2) In the end, Jehovah reproved those false accusers. God directed them to go to Job and present an offering for their sins. (Job 42:7-9) But Jehovah also required that Job do something. What was it? Jehovah directed Job to pray in behalf of his former accusers. Job did as Jehovah asked, and Jehovah blessed him for his forgiving spirit. (Job 42:10, 12, 16,17) The lesson for us? A sincere prayer in behalf of someone who has offended us may help us to let go of resentment. w13 6/15 3:16, 17

As servants of Jehovah, we certainly do not search for tempting situations that could lead to immoral sexual behavior. Instead, we pray that Jehovah God will not permit us to succumb when someone tempts us to disobey Him. (Matt. 6:13) But Satan constantly tries to undermine our spirituality as we strive to maintain our integrity in this depraved world. (Eph. 6:12) As the god of this wicked system of things, the Devil knows how to exploit our imperfect desires by putting in our path temptations common to imperfect humans. (1Cor. 10:13) For instance, imagine being in a situation that offered an opportunity to satisfy a particular desire in an immoral way. What choice would you make? How crucial it is to prepare our heart nowwell before we find ourselves in situations that test our integrity!Ps. 78:8. w13 5/15 5:12, 13

Jesus was speaking about his disciples, whom he taught to use the Scriptures in their ministry. At Pentecost 33C.E., one of these public instructors, the apostle Peter, gave a talk to a large crowd in Jerusalem in which he quoted several passages from the Hebrew Scriptures. On hearing Peters application of these words, many listeners were stabbed to the heart. They repented over their past sins. About three thousand of them sought Gods forgiveness and became Christians. (Acts 2:37-41) The apostle Paul spoke to those worshipping in a synagogue in Thessalonica. For three Sabbaths, Paul reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving by references that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead. The result? Here is a book about the most notorious of Soviet death camps in the Siberian region, 2 to 3 million people, most of them White, died under the cruel auspices of the Hammer and Sickle.

This book is about the worst camp in communism, and the people who were sent there on a one-way journey to a camp where there were more real victims than the fictional death tole at Auschwitz.

Solzhenitsyn, in The Gulag Archipelago, calls Kolyma the "pole of cold and cruelty" of Stalin's labour-camp system, adding that it is so notorious in the USSR that he himself is only devoting a few pages to it. In the latter half, visionary, social pioneer and author Barbara Marx Hubbard discussed the idea of conscious evolution, and how humankind must evolve or face extinction. She suggested that evolution can occur by choice rather chance, and while many are focused on doom & gloom 2012 scenarios, she presented a hopeful vision of our future. "I think we're seeing the emergence of a universal species...we're going to have extended life, extended intelligence, extended contact throughout the universe, that we'll be freed up from repetitive labor...and the species itself will evolve into a co-created humanity... But if we don't, if we stay self-centered, separate, competitive, overpopulating and polluting, we won't make it," she stated.
We're seeing a breakthrough of more people becoming conscious of god, super-nature, spirit, or tendency of higher order-- a transcending impulse of higher evolution, she continued. Hubbard, now 81, shared some of the fascinating paths in her life, how she turned from a housewife into a "futurist," her relationship with Buckminster Fuller, and details of her run for Vice President in 1984 (Neale Donald Walsch recently penned a biography of Hubbard called The Mother of Invention).
