Analysis of the price of the crypto Binance Coin (BNB) and Notcoin (NOT) – The Cryptonomist
Posted: July 1, 2024 at 2:35 am
In this article we will analyze the trend over time of the price of the crypto BNB (Binance Coin) and NOT (Notcoin).
The crypto market is experiencing a calm moment, after the declines at the beginning of the week. It is therefore a good time to do some price analysis over slightly longer timeframes.
BNB is the native cryptocurrency of BSC, once known as Binance Smart Chain.
BNB was born as a token on Ethereum in 2017, with the ICO of Binance. At the time, the token was called Binance Coin.
Subsequently, with the launch of the BNB Chain, the denomination Binance Coin was abandoned, because it is no longer just the crypto of Binance but also the native cryptocurrency of BNB Chain.
In turn, BNB Chain is a blockchain ecosystem based on three chains, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), opBNB, and BNB Greenfield.
BSC, however, is the chain most used by common users, so by now BNB is defined as the native cryptocurrency of BSC.
Although BNB debuted on the crypto markets precisely in 2017, thanks to Binances ICO, it was only from the following year that its use began to spread, thanks to the success of the exchange.
Technically BSC was born in 2020, even though the year before Binance had already created another chain that had BNB as its native cryptocurrency.
It is therefore necessary to take different starting points as references to analyze the trend of the price of BNB.
The debut on the crypto markets of BNB in 2017 occurred at a price below 0.1$. However, it is not advisable to take that as the main reference point, because in hindsight it can be said that that price was excessively low.
Already at the end of the year, it had reached a peak higher than $24, and during the bear-market of 2018, it never fell below $4.
As a starting point for the rise in its price, it is probably advisable to take the bottom of 2018, set at around $4.5.
During 2019, with the launch of Binances first chain, BNB transitioned from a token on Ethereum to a native cryptocurrency, and its price over the course of the year reached a peak exceeding $38.
In other words, with the launch of the first Binance chain, BNB recorded new all-time high prices during a year that was not particularly good for the crypto markets, and in the absence of a major bullrun. This speaks volumes about how undervalued it was at the beginning in the crypto market.
In 2020, with the launch of BSC, it did not manage to repeat the boom of 2019, but in December it climbed back above $30 with the start of the last great bullrun.
And so during the course of 2021 the price of BNB skyrocketed to more than $650 in less than five months, with a +2,000% that many still remember very well.
At the time, there was a boom in DeFi on BSC, especially thanks to DEX like PancakeSwap.
On one side BNB was necessary to pay the fees on BSC, and with many users flocking to fast and cheap DEXs, the result was a strong surge in the use of this cryptocurrency.
On the other hand, the enormous success of Binance, and the use of BNB as a base for example for Launchpad and Launchpool, contributed to greatly increasing its demand.
During the year it then fell below $300, but in November it managed to climb back above $650.
Despite during the subsequent bear-market of 2022 the price dropped to around $200, and despite this bear-market for BNB extended until October 2023, with the start of the new bullrun crypto started to rise again.
In fact, the all-time high was actually recorded this year, at the beginning of June, when it managed to surpass $700 even if only for a brief moment.
It is worth noting that at this moment it is at $575, that is -20% from the highs and at figures lower than even the highs of 2021, but this is a dynamic in line for example with that of Bitcoin.
In the last seven days it has lost only 0.9%, and in the last thirty days 4%. Excluding the peak of June 5 and 6, its current price is quite in line with that of the end of May, although slightly lower.
It should not be forgotten that 2024 started with BNB just above $300, so 2024 remains a very profitable year for now, if we exclude the last three weeks.
Notcoin, on the other hand, is a whole different thing.
It is a token, NOT, created this year on the Telegram blockchain The Open Network (TON).
It is a sort of memecoin used in some mini-apps on Telegram, particularly in game-fi.
Despite this, it has already risen to 1.5 billion dollars in market capitalization, placing it at the 57th position among the most capitalized cryptocurrencies.
To have some reference points, AAVE for example capitalizes only $1.4 billion, while NOT capitalizes more or less as much as BONK, a well-known memecoin on Solana, and a little less than FLOKI.
It should not be forgotten, however, that NOT landed on the crypto markets only last month.
The historical data to analyze is therefore very limited, so much so that no important information can really be drawn from this analysis.
It is worth mentioning, however, that after debuting at around 11 thousandths of a dollar, its price had dropped to below 5 thousandths of a dollar by the end of May.
Despite a disastrous start, during the month of June the price first recovered, but then recorded new all-time highs even at 29 thousandths of a dollar.
On the other hand, being in fact a memecoin it has a very volatile and unstable market value, so it is not surprising that in a month and a half it first recorded a -54% followed by a +480%.
Currently it has returned to -47% from the highs, or about 15 thousandths of a dollar, a level still higher than the initial one.
Although from the highs of the beginning of the month it seems to have done almost nothing but go down, it is not at all possible to exclude some further rally.
It should not be forgotten that the TON ecosystem of Telegram is currently one of the most active.

Dormant Bitcoin miner sends $3m to Binance after 14 years of inactivity – crypto.news
Posted: at 2:35 am
A rare Satoshi era Bitcoin miner address woke up after being dormant for 14 years, sending over $3 million worth of BTC to Binance.
An early Bitcoin miner moved 50 BTC, equivalent to $3.05 million, marking a rare transaction from the Satoshi era. According to data from Lookonchain, the address 1PDTDm3Jcm sent the funds to Binance on Jun. 27.
Blockchain transaction history indicates that the miner obtained 50 BTC in July 2010, a few months after the Bitcoin network launched.
A miner wallet woke up after being dormant for 14 years and deposited 50 $BTC($3.05M) to #Binance 7 hours ago.
The miner earned 50 $BTC from mining on July 14, 2010.

The Satoshi era address refers to addresses that were active during the early days of the Bitcoin network, specifically from the time when the first cryptocurrency was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 until around 2011, which is when Satoshi Nakamoto mysteriously disappeared.
This is not the first instance of old Bitcoin wallets reactivating. Several addresses from the Satoshi era have shown activity since early 2023. In July of last year, a wallet dormant for 11 years transferred $30 million worth of Bitcoin to other wallets. In August, another wallet moved 1,005 BTC to a new address.
In March 2024, another long-inactive miner transferred funds after 14 years, with part of the transaction ending up at the crypto exchange Coinbase.

Dr. Denise Watts reflects on personal growth in first year as SCCPSS Superintendent – Connect Savannah.com
Posted: at 2:34 am
After one year on the job, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Superintendent Dr. Denise Watts took time on Wednesday, June 26 to reflect on lessons learned, personal growth, and more. Her comments came during a press conference held at Woodville-Tompkins and organized by SCCPSS communications.
It's been an exciting year. I continue to be honored and extremely privileged to serve as the 25th Superintendent of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, said Watts in her opening statement. Almost a year ago, I stood in a boardroom before the ink was dry on my contract. I said that I was uniquely prepared and ready to serve as a catalyst for change. And today, I'm even more convinced of this.
I'm very thankful to the Board of Education for providing the support and guidance to do my job. I'm confident that we will continue this work to reach our joint aspirations and inevitable success in the district. I've also had the opportunity to work with a world class staff. I have met and observed employees across every employee group. The blood, sweat, and tears are real. Their dedication is unmatched.
Being able to have the Davis-Edwards-Harris Educational Complex open under my leadership is something that I'm very proud of, Watts said.
She also addressed transportation of students as a priority, as well as literacy and teacher retention. The school district, under Watts, has already approved raises for district staff members to include teachers. SCCPSS partnered with Chatham Area Transit (CAT) this year for a trial program where students ride for free. It was an effort to increase attendance numbers in Savannahs public schools and it could continue next school year.

Dr. Denise Watts speaks to media at Woodville-Tompkins on June 26, 2024
Teacher burnout was one of the things that I heard loud and clear when I got here. Teacher burnout is real, she said. It's real not only here, but it is real all across the nation. To be able to have some immediate solutions to resolving teacher burnout that included the voices of our teachers has been very productive work.
[SCCPSS]
Dr. Denise Watts
Sometimes the opportunities to hear from teachers can come in the most unexpected of places.
When I go out to eat on the weekends, or when Im in an Uber, 70 percent of the time I am encountering a teacher that is working a second job to sustain or supplement their income, Watts said. And that saddens me a great deal. I really use it as an opportunity to learn and ask questions and to gain insight and perspective. I don't use it as an opportunity to share much. It really is just a continued learning opportunity for me.
Those teachers are the same ones standing in classrooms the next morning in front of our students. So, the cost of living adjustment provided by the Governorand we are supplementing that in our districtis just a small signal that we have to reform teacher compensation.
Watts came to Savannah after serving as the Chief of Schools for Houstons Independent School District. That district included more than 194,000 students across 274 schools. While there, she supervised principals, managed magnet schools and led innovation and strategy efforts for the district. It was a big undertaking, but it was more of a background role.
Now, she says her job has put her squarely in the spotlight.
The community has certainly noticed.
I was just in Kroger on Saturday with my ball cap on doing grocery shopping and this little boy comes up to me and he's like, are you our superintendent? Just getting used to some people recognizing me when I am out just being a mom or wife has been something that I've learned this year and something that I'm willing to accept. I'm on the clock 24/7, if I want to be or not, and that's just part of the job.

A healthy (and fun!) guide to June: Why yoga and the strawberry moon should be on your to-do list – Yahoo Life
Posted: June 23, 2024 at 2:36 am
Welcome to June month of Pride, Juneteenth, Fathers Day and the official start of summer. Youve probably got a lot already planned for the weeks ahead beach vacations, summer cookouts with your nearest and dearest, tickets to see that big blockbuster in an air-conditioned movie theater but allow us to share a few more suggestions for wellness-boosting ways to spend this time.
Heres our guide to enjoying summers simple pleasures (perfectly ripe tomatoes! vitamin D! switching your out-of-office email responder on!) while doing some good and keeping your health top of mind.
Upgrade your diet. Unless you're part of the 1.58% of American adults who have an ideal diet, you could stand for some improvement. One way to get started: Look into the Mediterranean diet, which research shows has lots of health benefits. Here's what groceries to stock up on and what a meal plan looks like.
Try mall walking. It's got A/C ... and an Abercrombie. If you want to keep up your daily step count without subjecting yourself to triple-digit temperatures, consider escaping to your local mall. Mall walking is free (no gym fees), accessible (great for all ages and no pesky hills or uneven sidewalks) and air conditioned. If you simply want to beat the heat, here's a guide to other public places where you can cool down this summer.
Visit a farmers market. June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, and its a great excuse to skip the grocery store checkout lines and instead see what local producers have on offer. Summer cookouts call for recipes featuring the best in seasonal ingredients think cherries, berries, peaches, corn, tomatoes, summer squash, green beans and more so grab a tote bag and stock up. (But watch out for those summer fruit injuries.)
Take a CPR class. June 1 to 7 marks National CPR and AED Awareness Week. Recent research shows that lifesaving AEDs (or automated external defibrillators) are rarely used in cases of cardiac arrest occurring outside of a hospital setting, even though experts say they are pretty simple to use. And just last week a survey from the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center found that only about half of Americans feel they could perform CPR in an emergency. If youre not one of them, take time to sign up for a course through the American Red Cross (or brush up on your training with these tips).
Time to see the doc, dude. Fellas, its Mens Health Month an important reminder to follow through on any delayed checkups (like getting to the bottom of that pesky twinge in your knee youve been brushing off as no big deal) or kick-start any wellness goals you might have. Sign up for a gym membership trial. Improve your mood by making plans with that buddy you havent seen in forever. Make like Guy Fieri and work out with a weighted vest. The skys the limit!
Donate blood. June 14 is World Blood Donor Day. If youre able, roll up your sleeve and do your part. Bonus: Its good for your health.
Roll with it, baby. June 18 is International Sushi Day. If you plan to celebrate with a bento box order for lunch, read up on the health benefits (and not-as-healthy aspects) associated with the Japanese dish. In short: Go easy on the rice, fried dishes (shrimp tempura, we're looking at you) and sauces (especially if they're mayo-based or high in sodium); choose low-mercury fish like salmon and crab; and add a side of protein-packed edamame.
Consider an international sunscreen. There's a lot of buzz surrounding international sunscreens, which are subject to different guidelines and have SPF filters not yet approved in the U.S. Here's what dermatologists told us about their appeal and whether it's worth swapping out your usual sunscreen stash.
Embrace the summer solstice. For those of us in the northern hemisphere, the summer solstice as in, the official start of summer and the longest day of the year falls on Thursday, June 20. Some experts associate the solstice with improved moods, though its unclear whether thats because of the extra sunshine it brings or the effect on circadian rhythms and sleep cycles. Either way, the sky has another trick up its sleeve that week that might also lift your spirits. On Friday, June 21, there will be a strawberry moon so named by Native American tribes because it coincides with the peak of summer harvesting season and is not a reference to its color shortly after sunset.
Strike a pose. The dog days of summer are calling for some downward dog. June 21 is the International Day of Yoga, a United Nations-recognized observance that encourages people the world over to try the practice. Research shows that yoga offers a number of mental and physical benefits (including increased flexibility and strength), so roll out your mat and get started with some simple poses.
Boost your brain health. June is Alzheimers & Brain Awareness Month, so look for opportunities to keep your mind sharp. As Yahoo Life recently reported, that could include starting your day with Wordle or some other type of brain teaser, picking up a new skill that challenges you or just focusing on healthy habits like sleep, diet and hydration.
Find a pool. In a perfect world, youd have an Olympic-size pool in the backyard to keep you cool. In reality, youre sticking your ankles in a plastic kiddie pool you picked up at Walmart. But a refreshing splash is more attainable than you think. If your communitys public pool doesnt appeal to you, look into buying a day pass at a local hotel or resort, where you can enjoy poolside perks without being a registered guest. Services like Swimply also serve as an Airbnb of sorts for privately owned pools, with rates charged by the hour. Its definitely something to consider when temperatures climb and the risk of heat illness gets very real. Just make sure youre following water safety rules, especially if kids are around.

Apple’s plan to focus on the personal side of AI takes centre stage after years of development – The Irish Times
Posted: at 2:35 am
The AI race is picking up speed.
Microsoft earlier this year made the first change to its keyboards since the introduction of the Windows key, when it said it would include a dedicated button to activate its CoPilot AI assistants. Google has made its Gemini generative AI available through its Pixel phones and made a deal with Samsung to integrate its technology into the South Korean groups AI offerings.
And now Apple has said it will build AI tools into its operating systems for iPhones, iPads and Macs, creating Apple Intelligence and transforming Siri from a voice assistant to a more useful digital assistant that will eventually be able to reach into apps on your phone to give you a helping hand. AI is a core part of the new software going forward for those who can access it.
One of the last to announce its intentions on generative AI, Apple unveiled its plans at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) last week, quietening some of the speculation around its ability to innovate. This is a moment weve been working toward for a long time, Apples senior vice-president Craig Federighi said.
But the company largely avoided using the term artificial intelligence, preferring instead to refer to it as personal intelligence, and AI for the rest of us, making the point that this is not simply technology for technologys sake.
Global Datas Anisha Bhatia described it as a consumer-friendly approach to explaining the benefits of AI to its core market, and it appears to have hit the mark. Although shares in Apple fell almost 2 per cent in the immediate aftermath, they quickly recovered ground and Apple regained the title of most valuable company in the world, snatching it back from Microsoft.
Apple may not have been talking much about generative AI until recently but the company has certainly been working on it in the background. While it may not have fully embraced generative AI publicly, there is more to AI than chatbots. Apple first introduced the Neural Engine AI processor into its devices in 2017. And the company has been quietly building its expertise, with a number of acquisitions over the past couple of years.
It has also been training its own large language models, which underpin generative artificial intelligence, using a variety of data from public web data, licensed data from news archives, stock photography and in-house data created by Apple.
Apple doesnt need to be the first; it just needs to do it better, said PP Foresight analyst Paolo Pescatore. While it typically takes a more cautious wait and see approach, it is interesting to see Apple make such a bold statement with AI still in its infancy.
The anticipation around this years Worldwide Developer Conference, or Dub Dub as it is affectionately known, was at fever pitch by the time Tim Cook took to the stage to begin his keynote. Many of Apples announcements had largely leaked in advance of the event but there was still an element of the unknown about the event. And while generative emojis, image editing and automatic transcriptions were attention-grabbing, there were other questions to answer.
Among them were how Apple, a company that was vocal about user privacy and data control, could stick to its principles while also using a technology that not only requires large amounts of data to train models, but will be dependent on using highly personal user data to be at its most useful.
Apple Intelligence is hoping to bridge that gap. It uses a combination of its own models for on-device processing, occasionally extending into a locked-down cloud environment with specially built servers when needed.
Federighi told WWDC attendees that private cloud computing solved a necessary, profound challenge around the range of capabilities of AI. While many of the queries dealt with by Apple Intelligence could be dealt with on-device, there are times when more power would be needed, and Apple has created a solution that allows users to throw server-class hardware at the problem, extending the device itself into the cloud without the compromises that other cloud options may bring.
The device figures out what data is needed to get the question answered, and only sends that to the cloud. There is no permanent storage of data, and there are no logs; all of this will be subject to checks and audits. In other words, Apple cannot see the data even if it wanted to, and no storage means the company will almost certainly be unable to comply with requests that may come from law enforcement around the data.
This is a fascinating tension that sees Apple arriving at the same conclusion as rivals: that it is not possible to fully run todays AI features on-device and that elements must be outsourced to the cloud, said CCS Insights Ben Wood.
Apple will try to play up its security credentials, but this marks a shift in approach, nonetheless. The move also reintroduces other inescapable problems with server-powered AI, such as latency and cost, which Apple will have to manage. Despite this initial approach, CCS Insight predicts that Apple will seek to move more processing to the device over time.
There is one catch, though. Apple Intelligence needs the neural engine in the iPhone 15 Pro lines A17 chip, or that contained in the M-series chips designed by Apple. That excludes a large part of the current iPhone user base, and while it may spur some users to upgrade, it means there will be a large group of current iPhone users who will be waiting a year or more to access the new features.
Apples approach may be surprising to some. Creating large language models is an intensive process that does not always make sense for companies. Amazon, for example, ditched the idea of its own large language models and has opted instead to support other companies, investing in Anthropic.
In a nod to this, Apple has chosen to partner with OpenAI for queries that Apple Intelligence cannot handle. Federighi described it as the best choice for our users today, although it comes with restrictions for OpenAI. It cannot save user data and requests, for example, and accounts are not required to use the service. Those who choose to sign in with an OpenAI account, though, will have the ChatGPT creators data use policies applied.
This can be framed as evidence that Apple is behind the curve and has been pushed into a position of dependency on competitors. However, we would highlight that AI has yet to deliver any game-changing applications, and that no rival has yet offered an AI feature or device that poses a genuine threat to Apple, said Wood. Apple Intelligence should do enough to calm investors and show that the company is on a journey to offering more attractive AI applications and experiences, with progress set to continue in the coming years.
The ChatGPT integration may not be as crucial as it first seemed. It will only deal with wider queries that cannot be answered by Apples own AI, and it may soon be joined by other third-party arrangements.
Federighi said that although the company was starting with OpenAI, Apple was looking to integrate additional models to give its users options in the future.
Apples former director of marketing Dave Edwards described it as arms length.
In some ways, this is parallel to the way Apple has approached search, relying on Google as a partner, he said. At the same time, this feels incomplete as a solution and it will be interesting to see how this changes over time.
Time is certainly something that Apple is willing to give the new system. The features look set to be rolled out slowly, even to those devices that can run them. Apple is reported to be releasing some next year, perhaps in an effort to avoid the missteps of some of its rivals. But, regardless of the timescale, they are coming.
Seeking to take AI to the masses is a pivotal moment for Apple; providing developers with the tools that will create most sought-after features among users, said PP Foresights Pescatore. And this is just the beginning. The next wave of development will be mind-boggling as everyone seeks to outpace each other.

Buying organic groceries isn't as expensive as it used to be, but it's still a significant price jump from nonorganic meat and produce.
If you're going to buy some but not all organic, do so wisely. There are fruits and vegetables more likely to contain pesticides than others, and thus buying pesticide-free versions of them will give you more bang for your organic buck and keep more harmful chemicals off your plate.
To help decide which foods you should buy organic and which ones it might be OK not to, food safety nonprofit Environmental Working Group curates a yearly list of the foods most likely to contain pesticides dubbed "The Dirty Dozen."
To do so, the group analyzed 46,569 samples of 46 fruits and vegetables tested by the US Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Agriculture.
The No. 1 offender of pesticides in the group's latest study? Strawberries. The popular berries had more total instances of chemicals found on them than any other fruit or vegetable included in the sweeping analysis.
Strawberries are the produce most likely to have pesticides, according to the study.
Fruits and vegetables are billed as some of the healthiest foods, but they're also the most likely to pesticides, which are used to protect them from invasive insects, grazing animals and diseases during cultivation. In fact, nearly three-quarters of all nonorganic produce has detectable levels of pesticides by the time it reaches your supermarket shelves or grocery delivery order, according to thestudy.
In general, foods that don't have natural casings or have edible skins such as apples, greens and berries are more likely to contain pesticides. Pieces of produce with commonly removed skin such as avocados and pineapples are far less likely to be tainted. Below you'll find the 12 foods most likely to contain pesticides and the 15 foods least likely to be tainted.
Foods most likely to contain pesticides, according to FDA and USDA data.
Strawberries, spinach and kale are foods you'd be wise to wash thoroughly before eating.
The Dirty Dozen is a good indicator meant to alert consumers to the fruits and vegetables most in need of thorough washing. Even a quick rinse with water or a spritz ofproduce washhelps.
You can also sidestep much of the potential risk by buyingcertified organic fruits and vegetablesthat are free from the use of farming pesticides. Knowing which foods are more likely to contain pesticides might help you decide where to spend that bit of extra money on organic. And as I learned in ananalysis of organic and nonorganic prices, they aren't as expensive as you might think.
It doesn't always make sense to splurge on organic produce.
Conversely, the EWG found these 15 fruits and vegetables Ieast likely to contain pesticides.
Foods with naturally occurring protective skin are far less likely to contain potentially harmful pesticides.
These are the fruits and vegetables least likely to contain pesticides, according to the study:
EWG's methodology involves six measures of pesticide contamination. The analysis focuses on which fruits and vegetables are most likely to contain one or more pesticides but does not measure how much of any one pesticide is on a given piece of produce. You can read more on the EWG's Dirty Dozen in the published study here.

Meditation in Dub | The Revolutionaries | Death Is Not The End – Bandcamp

Death Is Not The End's 333 series is back with another dig into the catalogue of the NYC-based Flames label on this reissue of a highly coveted Revolutionaries LP, Meditation in Dub.
One of reggae music's most famed session bands, The Revolutionaries were an often r/evolving cast of some of the finest session musicians on the island during the roots and early dancehall periods of the mid/late 1970s and early 1980s. These would include Earl 'Wire' Lindo, Radcliffe 'Dougie' Bryan, Ansell Collins, Bobby Kalphat, Lloyd Parks, Uziah 'Sticky' Thompson, Bongo Herman, Stanley Bryan, Bo Peep, Eric 'Bingy Bunny' Lamont, Errol 'Tarzan' Nelson, Skully Simms, Robbie Lyn, Mikey 'Mao' Chung amongst many others. The enduring core of the group, however, was undoubtedly in the coming together of the legendary rhythm section of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare - with the formation of The Revolutionaries marking the first time that this often unparalleled duo worked together.
The group laid down these rhythm tracks at their base at the storied Channel One recording studio, Maxfield Avenue, Kingston sometime in the mid 1970s - under the arrangement of one of reggae music's great undersung figures, Ossie Hibbert. Early in 1975 Ossie was to move to Maxfield Avenue just as Jo Jo & Ernest Hookim's studio was starting up. A well-respected session musician himself through the late 1960s and early 70s (he played keys for Bunny 'Striker' Lee and Keith Hudson and would also form part of another foundational session band, The Soul Syndicate) he was initially summoned by Jo Jo to be a band member for The Revolutationaries but quickly assumed the role of producer, engineer and talent scout for the studio, responsible for selecting the artists to bring into the studio.
These tracks were recorded by Hibbert around this time for Winston Jones, the original singer and composer of Stop That Train (later made world-famous by Keith & Tex's version) with his Spanishtonians for Prince Buster's label in the early 1960s. Jones had moved from JA to NYC in the early 1970s where he established and ran the Flames label. The imprint would go on to form a core part of Brooklyn's reggae scene from the mid-1970s until the early 1990s, though Jones often employed the use of Channel One, Hibbert and The Revolutionaries back home in the recording of rhythm tracks for his productions. Thus the Meditation in Dub LP is essentially formed of stellar dub versions to many of the early Flames labels 45s, produced and released by Jones throughout the mid to late 1970s, including crucial takes on a great many popular rhythms of that period. One of any self-respecting dub LP collectors' holy grails, with originals going for up to 400, it is issued here under license from the now Texas-based Jones with the kind assistance of RB at DKR in sourcing the audio for this new cut.
